Florence just went away for a break after her boyfriend was murdered so presumably she just returned to the house she previously lived in with her boyfriend - maybe she rented it out while she was away?

And the actor who played the tv star baddie had an appallingly bad accent, it drifted between generic comedy Caribbean, American and English.

I thought it was my imagination! I've never noticed an accent drift in this before.

I think his accent is a bit all over the place anyway! Not quite as much as in that, but I'm not sure it's "standard" all the time when he speaks naturally.

Don Warrington is fantastic with his accent though — you honestly would never guess he speaks with an RP accent too.

That's a shame about Ruby, I think that's a fault of the scriptwriters, not her. I definitely preferred her more recently when she was written a bit more calmly. I thought her background was a good one — young, local, and sociable.

Even more so because I remember him as Patrick and his accent as that character.

Enjoying it, especially with Florence back. Camille was my absolute favourite, but she is only back for a cameo role sadly.

I found Ruby irritating and unprofessional when she first appeared but warmed to her in the last series so sad that she has gone. I hope they get a new officer soon though.

I didn't like Florence as much as most of you it seems! I would much rather have Camille back from Paris.

The actress playing Ruby decided to quit because she didn't like the negative posts about the character and how she was played, especially in the early days when she screamed and was over the top about everything
That is a real shame as presumably she was only acting in a way she was directed to and everyone involved with producing the show wanted the character portrayed like that.
The point of her in the early days was to be a wild card.
There's not a character I've not liked tbh.

I gave up watching when kris Marshall played the bumbling idiot inspector, but thought I'd give it a whirl to cheer myself up in the current circumstances.
I didn't think the lead character could get any more annoying, but Ralf Little is just ridiculous with all those allergies! Do they actually think that adds anything to the programme?
