Took me ages to figure out what was going on.

It was okay - but a bit worthy. And some bits seemed familiar - the alien queen was a bit like the Empress of the Racnoss, and the ending reminded me of the end of the Van Gogh episode - both of which were done better. Loved seeing Goran Visnjic as Tesla though!

Anyone else think Robert Glennister could play Trump really well?

I mostly enjoyed the old fashioned Doctor Who-ness of it but the explanations make it feel like a trendy science programme for schools - get rid of the aliens then a potted history of Tesla.
And I have had the song Tesla Girls going round my head since yesterday...

A few of the recent plots feel a CBBC - or like those educational shows they used to wheel the big telly out at school for. I wouldn't be surprised if they added a nite at the end saying

'If you'd like to learn more about Nikolai Tesla why not visit www.pottedhistoryandpreaching.co.uk'

I've just read that the actress playing the Skithra Queen was Rani in The Sarah Jane Adventures.

I just got distracted by the fact she had a Midlands accents. The prosthetics were very impressive though.

Loved Goran Visjnic in that episode. I am not generally loving this season so far though. The episodes so far have had more than a touch of deja vu about them.

Sums up the 13th Doctor perfectly

Just caught up with last nights episode. Loved Goran Viscnic as Tesla. The aliens were a bit meh. As pp have said the queen was very similar to the racnos. I'm getting tired of all the earth based episodes now. And again next week. Had high hopes for this series but it's starting to decline again. Might need to watch some david Tennant and matt smith to make me feel better

I'm only up to the Dregs episode - dire.

The 3 companions are unimitigatedly awful. Dull, dim, gormless, boring and pointless. It's impossible to work out which is the worst.

Does anyone know where the lighthouse in today’s episode is? My Dr Who obsessed 9 year old DS is compiling a list of places to visit!
