That reveal! 😳
Took me ages to figure out what was going on.

That was my favourite of the Chris Chibnall series, I found it really entertaining and am seeing Jodie much more as The Doctor now. I didn't hate the last series but didn't find it particularly interesting either.

I loved the Master reveal, from starting to get an inkling there was something wrong with him to working it out, it just flowed perfectly.

Bit disappointing for me I was fairly bored throughout, the master revealing himself was great which is sad because that was the only best bit haha

It may get better when it goes along I think this was a build up more than anything and it may get more action packed in part 2.

I really don't want to abandon it last series

Love Sacha Dhawan so delighted he's going to be The Master, hope we see lots of him. Didn't see the twist at all and DD2 was completely confused because she's not seen the Master before (she's 10 and only started watching last series).

I loved it and was totally unprepared for the return of the Master. He was so scary!

I was expecting cybermen so totally blindsided. Can't wait for part 2.

Sacha Dhawan and Jodie Whittaker have worked together before. I didn't know that.

Sacha Dhawan would've made an excellent Doctor.

I'm really not a fan of Chibnall's take on Doctor Who. I think Jodie W is terrible and Murray Gold's music is very missed. I was a big DW fan.

But credit where it's due, I'm impressed that the twist was kept secret until the reveal. When they showed Simm's Master during one of the trailers and it was in all the papers, it ruined the big moment. A lot of things would've been much more enjoyable if they'd been a surprise. So Chibnall has kept to his word there. That's good.

I really liked Sacha so I'm going to give it another go for him. Hoping his Master is in between Simm and Gomez somehow. Otherwise a lot of the development we saw in Missy seems to have been lost. Could see flashes of both those Masters in his performance though so maybe that's where he fits in.

I love Jodie Whitaker and was so excited when they announced a female doctor but I just don’t think it’s the role for her, and the writing has been really quite leaden and patronising under Chris Chibnall so I was surprised to really enjoy this! I liked the nods to Bond and Spooks, and thought Lenny Henry and Sacha Dhawan were both great.

Doctor WOke you mean!

At least the MASTER (Clues in the name) is a man again.

Michelle Gomez could and should have been the RAni.

Interesting if they ever bring back Romana or the RAni if tnheyve regenerated into men! And Susan.

Wonder how come theres been no furore about cyber MEN?!? Grin

I thought the light creatures were cybermen.

Watched it last night. I also gave up on the previous series, but I enjoyed this episode. I let out a little gasp, then smiled at the reveal. Felt more like the Doctor Who of old. Loved the reference to Torchwood.

I was expecting cyber men with the light creatures being similar to the ghosts.

Now that was a much much better episode. I really like that! Bringing back a bit of darkness in, despite the Doctor giving hope to others.

I thought tonight's episode was quite outstanding. I don't think I've seen anything as good since David Tennant.

I agree. That was the best of Doctor Who.

Another cracking episode. Intrigued by the timeless child. Wonder if it's going to be an old character or something new. Love that there's a big story arc again.

@HeyAssbutt i googled but it seemed a new reference. However, it does sound familiar from somewhere.

Ada was called Lady Lovelace not Mrs Barton. She was a countess, rich AF. Charles Babbage's 'private notes' were hers, as it happens - she published under her own name, and history came a-calling.

Babbage loved her and would never have patronised her. Why are they making him out to be a git who snaffled her work?

Not all men in history were misogynists - pretending they are is normalising misogyny. Oh, and of course, showing misogyny in action. Again.
