@Housewife2010, yes, definitely can see the resemblance!

I'll be sad if it's Alice as she's hovered near the top for weeks. But glad Henry and Rosie are having better days, they both have fun chat if nothing else.

I don't usually feel sorry for producers but they're doing normal buns and you lot are saying it's boring, then they get criticised for being too bleedin fancy. They can't win.

I like yeasty buns, though those semlor ones sound amazing lunde , I Luuuurve almond paste. I might make those for Xmas!

I'm behind tonight - they've just started the technical. More fucking frying! It might be dough but it's still not baking.

Love Pru,s colourful outfits! Why is Alice doing purple layers again did Pru not say she hated that colour last week.

Tea - crazy layer cakes and they're all burning stuff!

I have literally only ever grilled cake by mistake 😂

They did the funny layer thing on the professionals once I think.

I've quite liked this week, gentler than other weeks.

I’m at work and so cannot watch till much later.

I’ll be bitterly disappointed if there is not a ‘bake’ of at least one of the following:-

Egges of guffe
Ouefs a la guffante
Uova con guffizi

Or somesuch.

Desperately trying not to read posts until I’ve watched it.

Baking is supposed to be enjoyable and none of these bakes look enjoyable.

I'm enjoying these colourful cakes actually. Feeling sorry for Alice this week.

SanFran My Dictionary defines baking as a) "to cook in an oven" and b) "to cause to become hard by heating."

So that includes frying because in the old days many people didn't have proper ovens so they used hot plates to make crumpet type things over the fire I suppose .

When I was little I had a velvet jumper the colours of David's bake. I loved it. But wouldn't want to eat it.

Yes, I agree. And I think the last challenge was definitely baking - I don’t think you can argue what they produced wasn’t a cake.

Michael has really grown on me, he is a real character and you can see he is popular, shame but I think he will go this week
