Old thread

Ten points to DarlingNikita who spotted my deliberate mistake - I meant, of course, "cutting the judges' comments to make it LOOK as though they are sending home the wrong people." Ahem.

DS is both! We both agreed they smelt like Christmas when they were baking.

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 17:18

Those scones look lush. I also have a ds who bakes so we will give those a whirl

Graphista · 29/10/2019 19:06

Placemarking for later, I had to do a massive catch up as hadn't watched for ages but caught up now.

Who are people wanting to win? I like steff more than David or Alice.

FYI tvtimes mag got a decent feature on bake off this week.

spiky54 · 29/10/2019 19:14

I like David on the TV the best out of the three (but not so much on Twitter), think Steph has been the most consistent baker, but some of Alice’s bakes ( eg those honeycomb biscuit bars) have really made me want to make them ( which I can’t say of many of them this year).
So in a nutshell - don’t really mind who wins!

TricklBOO · 29/10/2019 19:58

I'm going to go out on a limb and say a baker with five letters in their name is going to win tonight. Wink

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 19:59

I'd like Steph to win. David second choice

NumbersStation · 29/10/2019 20:00

Out of them all, I want rosie to win.

will settle for David Smile

FuzzyPuffling · 29/10/2019 20:03

Steph or David for me.

jay55 · 29/10/2019 20:03

So make a showstopper cake in two hours. Ugh.

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 20:05

I've really hated o Paul Hollywood more than usual this series

Lunde · 29/10/2019 20:06

Pears sound like a dangerous choice!

highheelsandwitcheshats · 29/10/2019 20:08

I miss Rosie already. I think Steph will win. It fits with the narrative of what they've edited for us.

CaptainMyCaptain · 29/10/2019 20:09

Chocolate and prune cake sounds delicious to me. I have a slice of my grandson's fabulous Snickers cake to eat this evening.

highheelsandwitcheshats · 29/10/2019 20:09

Plus, if we're going for rewarding the most consistent contestant, then Steph is the obvious choice.

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 20:11

Ds just watched Sandi and Noel's skit and asked in all seriousness if they were supposed to be comedians

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 20:12

There are some interesting family dynamics going on

Lunde · 29/10/2019 20:13

some of the families seem a little ........ odd

WineIsMyCarb · 29/10/2019 20:14

Ugh Paul Hollywood perving on Alice. She even says he's making her uncomfortable and he looks her up and down once more. Skin crawl.

LemonRedwood · 29/10/2019 20:15

Alice looks like she was an annoying child

Wolfcub · 29/10/2019 20:15

Was there a Rhodesian ridgeback weeing in the bushes in the background just then?

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 29/10/2019 20:15

There are some interesting family dynamics going on

That’s an understatement... Grin

Graphista · 29/10/2019 20:15

They all seem to be from VERY reserved families

jay55 · 29/10/2019 20:18

To be honest I'd cheer on a relative from the sofa but wouldn't want to do a twee tv segment for them.

Cloverbeauty · 29/10/2019 20:19

Did anyone else hear Paul almost call prue Mary at one point, when they were talking about the black forest cake and pushing a cart? Or did I mishear that?

wowfudge · 29/10/2019 20:19

David's cake is straight out of a Delia book.
