I seriously, don't understand why people happily sit down to watch the carnage, the immolation, the screaming children.

What is wrong with people?

We're both off tomorrow. We were tempted to watch it tonight, or first thing tomorrow, as usual, but they're doing a special Thronecast just before it is on Sky in the uk tomorrow evening, so my husband wants to wait for that. I daren't go near the Internet all day if we wait.

I can't imagine taking time off work for a TV programme. Are you lot serious or am I missing a joke?

We always watch it Monday night.

I get ds to bed then me and dp will watch it. Will tape it at 2am.

I havent booked work off. But kinda wished I had. Every Monday i have to ban social media and anyone talking about it.

Last week was ok as i wasn't in work at all. So managed to avoid spoilers easily. Still waited for Dp though.

Not everyone works Monday to Friday - some of us are on days off without taking leave, and my husband is off work because he's been seriously ill. The poster before me said she was working from home. So nobody's taken a day off...

And even if they are, so what! For GoT fans this is it, the Big Event before it's over forever. No different to taking a day off for a sporting occasion.

I sometimes take a day off after an election/referendum so I can stay up to the wee hours watching the results roll in.

Seems harsh. This might be literally the only attention the OP gets anywhere in her life. It certainly seems so, given how over-invested she is in a show that disgusts her.
