Anyone watching now?

darksideofthemooncup · 18/03/2019 21:17

Hard watch tonight, I genuinely do not know how Police Officers deal with this.

TalkingOrmer · 18/03/2019 21:18

I’m not sure I’ll be able to watch the whole thing 🙁

JaneEyre07 · 18/03/2019 21:22

How can you do that for a job Sad but thank god they do.

Those men.... they are just vile. Vile.

I feel sick.

purpleme12 · 18/03/2019 21:22

This is the most shocking episode I've seen

I do not know how people do this job

UpsyDaaaisy · 18/03/2019 21:23

No words. I literally feel like I'm going to vomit.

MrsFassy · 18/03/2019 21:27

This is horrendous.

Why are they showing their faces but not the first bloke? Wonder if the first guy wasn't convicted and these ones were.

sadandlost2019 · 18/03/2019 21:27

I've just come across this programme . And from the one episode I've watched im addicted . The series is right up my street I'm really into true crime shows ! Especially American ones on ID and cbs reality ! Looking forward to the next episode of 24 hours .

ilovepinkgin33 · 18/03/2019 21:30

I'm wondering if they are safeguarding the wife and kids of the 1st guy ??? Hard watching tonight, I have the utmost respect for the people who work these cases

MrsFassy · 18/03/2019 21:35

@ilovepinkgin33 Yes, you're right, I bet that's what it was. If he has minor children. The second they were all adults weren't they.

ilovepinkgin33 · 18/03/2019 21:41

Yeah, unfortunately as a society communities go after the perpetrators family even though they are as much victims in the whole situation

TwistinMyMelon · 18/03/2019 22:00

18 fucking months. A suspended sentence. Wtaf.

BarryTheKestrel · 18/03/2019 22:03

Actually livid. 54000 images. 18 months. WTF?!?!?

SweetPeaPods · 18/03/2019 22:05

Hard viewing tonight

Namebot · 18/03/2019 22:06

After all that work and evidence he got 18 MONTHS for 54,000 and producing indecent images. Utter bastard.

Ozzybobgoblin · 18/03/2019 22:40

Tonight's episode was so hard to watch. That lady officer is bloody amazing to do that job. She literally has to look at those images all day.

On the sentencing of the man with 54000 images , I thought " producing images" meant he actually filmed the images whilst abusing the child? Am I wrong? If so 18 months can't be right?

TwistinMyMelon · 18/03/2019 22:40

He was also convicted on producing the images. So he actually abused children. And he got 18 months. Whereas they got 10+ years for dealing drugs to consenting adults (not that I condone dealing drugs).

PickAChew · 18/03/2019 22:57

Producing images means making a copy, so that can include downloading.

user764329056 · 18/03/2019 23:29

FFS, people get more for tax evasion because money is more important than children’s lives, sick fuckers and sick fucking justice system, you can tell a country’s priorities by how it treats its vulnerable, this speaks volumes about the UK

qazxc · 19/03/2019 08:18

I really think that they need to rethink sentencing if getting caught with thousands of images doesn't result in a custodial sentence.
I was also Hmm at the second guy only being on the sex offenders register for 10 yrs, won't most of that be spent inside on the drugs offences? Personally I think if convicted they should be on there for life.

Florescentadolescent · 19/03/2019 08:39

@qazxc

I think it said 10 years on the register from when he got out of prison. I don't understand why not life. We're led to believe that you don't stop being a pedo.

That guy should have got life in prison. He was dealing drugs on a massive scale had knives and swords and was a pedo.

misscockerspaniel · 19/03/2019 11:07

The police officer who said she is haunted by the image of a girl's face that was blank - I couldn't do her job. Was I the only one who was Hmm at the (what I thought was) lack of help she received from the drug squad officer?

SweetPeaPods · 19/03/2019 11:09

misscockerspaniel Sadly that’s the typical response from CID ime

Tutlefru · 19/03/2019 11:11

So many of our laws and sentence guidelines need changing.

I’ll admit I couldn’t watch this.

Just can’t comprehend the evil people are capable of.

Paradyning · 19/03/2019 11:14

I had to switch it off after about 5 minutes.
