Oh my good god. Just coming to the end of the first new episode. Thrilling.

Idris is also not bad to look at!

It took us 2 1/2 hrs to watch Luther, frustrating to say the least.

Can believe how it ended. Can't believe she shot Hallodag!

And the house with all the bodies positioned with the masks on! Who thinks of stuff like this?!

How much does the world need a Luther/LoD crossover.

That would just be beyond amazing!

Seriously disappointed with this. Just didn't make sense.

TarquinGyrfalcon · 05/01/2019 20:16

Where did he actually get the masks from for the final killing? He had to flee the hospital in the ambulance so surely he wouldn't have had any opportunity to collect them from wherever he usually kept them.

ChesterGreySideboard · 05/01/2019 20:29

Good point. And can someone, even a surgeon, just jump into an ambulance uninvited?

ChesterGreySideboard · 05/01/2019 20:36

How did Alice know where Luther lived?

TarquinGyrfalcon · 05/01/2019 21:22

DH has just pointed out that he was carrying a rucksack when he accosted the man who he killed. His theory is that he had an oh-fuck-ruck-sack 'kill bag' (including the creepy masks) that he kept with him at all times in case opportunities arose.

fem2019 · 05/01/2019 22:14

Just turned the first episode off. How many times are we expected to watch women as victims as part of a fictional plot? When attacks on women happen every day and are very far from fictional? The scene on the bus was horrific and all too plausible.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/01/2019 22:23

Wunmi Mosaku?
The Bafta-winning actress made her name in Damilola, Our Loved Boy, and was also part of the cast of Channel 4 drama Kiri

MiddleClassProblem · 05/01/2019 22:39

fem2019 sorry I’m not sure I understand. His first two victims were men. Also, isn’t it meant to be plausible?

dottygreen · 05/01/2019 22:42

Can believe how it ended. Can't believe she shot Hallodag

Poor boring hallodag.

Christmasfairy07 · 05/01/2019 23:31

Can anyone tell me the series & episode where the killer hid in the loft?

MiddleClassProblem · 05/01/2019 23:46

Series 3 ep 1 is I thibk what you’re after... good luck!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/01/2019 23:48

It's definitely series 3, either 1 or 2. We're watching them on iPlayer from the start and watched it tonight. I'm not paying attention to series / episode numbers though as they auto-play!

ChesterGreySideboard · 06/01/2019 00:03

I’ve just watched the first 3 episodes of series 3.
I liked that much more, but I’m worried about the cat of the people where he hid in the attic.

However, there seems to be further episodes and I don’t see why, all baddies caught.

CatAndHisKit · 06/01/2019 00:23

Sorry but is the surgeon being definitely found/arrested in that house? With Luther running off and the policewoman killed, couldn't he escape after being beaten up by Luther?

MiddleClassProblem · 06/01/2019 00:26

You saw other officers walk passed Schenk when he was looking at Halliday. They were still doing that when he was following the trail of blood.

They just made that whole plot really insignificant.

ColdCrumpetsandButter · 06/01/2019 00:26

Well the shooting of Halliday was a shocker.

Did anyone notice how in Ep3 when the wife was on the floor that her whole face went mottled red apart from her cheek?! Would fillets do that?

I was disappointed tbh. Ep1 and 2 offered so much and yet we were let down I feel.

ChesterGreySideboard · 06/01/2019 00:34

Sorry but is the surgeon being definitely found/arrested in that house?

Luther punched him a few times, as is his wont, and then handcuffed him to the radiator.
We didn’t see him in custody though and he is a slippery fucker.

irishe · 06/01/2019 00:34

I enjoyed it but it wasn’t as good as it could have been. I find the Alice character really annoying and the stereotyped London gangster boring.

The serial killer and his relationship with HN was very interesting and I wanted the series to be all about that. Did they murder together, who was in charge in their marriage etc.

Luther is a gripping character played by easy on the eye actor but let down by script I think.

Honestly, the script writers should read this thread, no one gives a shit about Alice and that annoying gangster!

fem2019 · 06/01/2019 00:55

Middleclassproblem the woman being followed home, but hey that turned out to be ok, then the bus crawling scene. Urgh. Ask your male friends how much safety work they do in real life. Then ask your female friends. Then ask yourself about a programme that uses the very real fears that women have and then uses them as a plot device.

joliejoleen · 06/01/2019 00:59

Jeeez, Alice is a psycho!!!

MiddleClassProblem · 06/01/2019 01:06

Right... I completely understand that as women we walk home at night and take more safety precautions, just as some on here have said they wouldn’t have gone up the top. I don’t need you to me patronising.

I also watch fictitious programmes that involve some racial profiling. This is something that effects me too. Why would I ask for this realism to be not shown?

Please don’t be patronising. If you got past the first ep you would have seen that men got stalked too. Two men were the first victims. Women were killing people too, men in fact. It’s odd to slag off a programme for something that happens as a small part of a bigger story.

MiddleClassProblem · 06/01/2019 01:10

Btw if you watched Luther from the first series you would also be aware of Alice, as pp said, a psycho. She’s a strong, intelligent, fearless woman and wore the opposite of a victim. It’s lovely to see strong women on tv. But why don’t you focus on that girl on the bus...

MiddleClassProblem · 06/01/2019 01:10

*more not wore obvs
