We stopped watching SW about 2 series ago as it had got so ridiculously far fetched!

Am I being thick, why was Luther arrested. Just because a known gangland crim had an uncompromising photo?

Too messy and too many sub plots with loose ends. We should have seen Jeremy being led away in coughs.

George is disappointingly still alive and not now under police protection.

Benny and Halliday dead. Neither of them should have died.

Not sure whether Alice is really dead or will end up in a coma for the film.

I feel drained and deflated after watching that.

I'd say it was pretty compromising to be stood over the body of a man who'd been shot, holding a gun!

Schenk has to do it by the book, though. If he attempts to cover it all up Luther will never get his name cleared.

Random question but how did Luther & Halliday work our that the killer had gone to hole up in the schoolteacher’s house, just because it was previously involved. Seems a bit of a leap ...

What a load of nonsense. Aside from all the plot holes and giant leaps, as if they’d arrest Luther and take him straight off to the police stn with those injuries. He’d be accompanied in an ambulance to hospital, not walking out in cuffs .

I agree with a PP series 4 was poor and this one was unsatisfying- should have stopped it after 3

I’ve also seen that on a scandi drama. Masks on a family that have been murdered. The killer is still there pretending to be dead in a mask also....then up he jumps! Can’t remember what it was called though.

There wasn’t enough of the actual serial killer and too much of the other shite. I wanted to know more about Jeremy and whatshersnames history and if there were other murders!

I agree, far too much on Alice and George. Serial killer background woefully under explored.

And why did Alice kill Halliday? She didn’t hve anything massively incriminating on Alice did she?!

Oh how unsatisfying. I reckon a whole chunk of story's been edited out to squeeze this into available time, irritating. The strands of this didnt really come together well for me. This means another series presumably? Will Alice rise from the dead again? Feel a bit irked.

It definitely shouldn't have been the sub plot. It was a way better story line than the whole alice thing. I think Ruth Wilson is an excellent actress, but they took her part too far.

@canigetalien, yeah, forensics will show that. You will still get arrested in the meantime in order that evidence is preserved and witnesses aren't tampered with. That's why they can hold people for 72(?) hours without charge.

No doubt it'll all come out in the wash, but he would have to be arrested in the meantime.
