Hermione Norris looked really odd in that episode. I kept thinking she only reminded me of Hermione Norris rather than actually being her, iyswim. Is it the way they light it? That's to say not bothering at all with lights and just having everyone knock about in the dark.

She's obviously the one in charge too. She was giving him laldy with the hose there at the end.

Argh! Back to sleeping with the light on for the next week. This programme is so freaky.

First time I've watched Luther. The woman who turned up at his door at the end - I presume she's someone significant from previous episodes?

I’m confused as to how they set the patient up at the end. Presumably they killed the patient and cops assumed he’d slashed his own throat- but it was the husband standing under the tree who slashed her arm as she shouted at him for cutting her. So where was the patient at that point?

Because he was shot in the thigh (in series 3 IIRC)

@24hoursfromtulsa you really should watch the previous 4 series before carrying on, they've all been brilliant. Only 16 episodes in total so shouldn't take too long either.

Not a fan of the bus scene, for multiple reasons. Seen a few comments on twitter saying why didn’t she sit downstairs on the bus. I was practically shouting that at the TV. I always sit downstairs on the nightbus if I’m forced to get one alone, as close to the driver as possible. All my female friends do, without exception. I thought it was pretty unrealistic that a single female would sit upstairs and not only that but fall asleep too.

It was odd that HN had a handy good quality pic of her patient ready to show the police...
