Bros : After the Screaming Stops

Has anyone else watched this? It’s on the BBC iPlayer, and I watched it this morning. It’s a documentary that explores the brothers’ time in the band and a bit about what they’ve done since the split. Weirdly, the third member of Bros, Craig, was airbrushed out - not mentioned or even referenced at all. It mostly focussed on a come back concert that they performed at the O2.

In my opinion, neither brother came across particularly well - they both have huge egos and want to be the ‘boss’ in the band. They’ve spent most of the last 25 years in the States, and take themselves way too seriously.

I did enjoy it, but, probably, for the wrong reasons - it was cringeworthy and a bit of a car crash. Would be interested in hearing what others thought of it.

Literally the funniest programme I have watched this year. What a pair of over-inflated bell bends (and yes, I was a bit of a Brosette back in the day)!

I can't stand people who wear sunglasses inside so room an instant dislike to Matt.

Firstly, I was not a Brosette (proud rocker) but my entire class were. They competed over who had the most posters/who knew most about the band etc. So, I was there. I hated Bros.

I have to say though - I felt so sorry for them. Their emotional trauma was visceral.

What I did love though was Matt saying he made a conscious decision not to be superstitious because of Stevie Wonder. Then proceeded to show us about 5 superstitions - the crystals, bandana on plane, in bed etc.

I found it v boring

I know someone who lived next door to them growing up. Apparently they were "lovely lads".

I think the o2 was the only tour date they did. They were planning to do Manchester but the arena was closed after the bombing. The rest of the tour was cancelled early on due to poor ticket sales due to unforeseen logistical circumstances.
Bit of a flop after so much work.

Have you seen any Vegas shows? It's basically just a show with him in it - I think a vague rat pack theme. Vegas exists in its own world though, you can create hype around anything.

It was TV gold! 90 mins just not enough! Difficult to choose who was worse. Matt was the most cringey with all his stupid comments that he thought were so intellectual. What an arse! ' I think the letters H,O,M and E are the personification oh home!' But Luke was dark and v bitter and just rude.
But however thick Matt sounds, he's clearly v successful in LA. How does he keep that residency?
