The story so far: Scotch egg disaster: monkfish mayhem. Will there be foam, soil, smear and/or crumb?

Now read on.....

Halsall, how kind.
I must be delirious , I just got on the first of some more trains, unexpectedly. This time for pleasure rather than duty. I was just thinking how nice my own bed is, and looking forward to the earlobes. Or were they cranial?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/11/2018 13:34

Footle = Grin. A classical education is never wasted!

Shirley - How very kind! I should be delighted. I have to admit, that most of the comments deserved a response (there are superb commentators on here - BBC take note!), but I lack the wit to do them all justice.

I've just got back fro a 3 hour dog walk (and am knackered), so am going to replenish my bodily fluids with several gallons of tea, but intend to catch up by watching online as soon as I can - an am looking forward to spotting the horrors that have been commented upon.

You lovely lovely bikers. Thank you so much for your good wishes. I'm very touched and truly appreciate your kindness. Flowers for you all.
All went beautifully yesterday, although I'm still a tad watery around the eyes (and nose, it was bloody freezing. At the service and the wake.

Just watched last night's on catch up.
I'd ride Max like a flamingo blow up pool toy. Luffs him. A lot.

Schaden I'm ready to plot GrouchyPups kidnap, providing we have 50/50 residency. PM me Wink

Welcome to all the de lurked, new Mastercheffians.
Shirley Shock

Also Squoosh you darling, so happy. We are complete Grin

Pencilmuseum · 21/11/2018 16:18

Footle wasn't it Toby belch or were you having a sophisticated joke? I almost expected someone to refer to the dog returning to his vomit (kiwi's dog?) But don't know where it's from. It is referenced in a Barbara Pym novel but can't remember which. Somehow the hairy bikers are on now. Yet more beards. Catch you all later for more food oriented chat. Ashamed to say I have o just got the ref to Shirley ballus/phallus and keeeeep cooking. As slow witted as Gregg.

I have just watched last night's on catch up. Bloody hell! Gregggggg doesn't get any better does he - what a patronising twat!

There's no way I could go on this programme (apart from the fact I can't cook anything except sossidges) because I couldn't trust myself anywhere near that twonk when I had a knife in my hand!

His leering over the lovely Giannina was disgusting! They should keep a bucket of icy water handy to fling oner him at all times. Or preferably get him to the vet before he does any more damage. His attempts to sound as though he knows what he's talking about are embarrassing.

Max was superb! I don't think I've ever seen anyone excel in both technical and signature like that before.

I don't like William's eyes - but I couldn't fault his little cooked birdies.

And Giannina was just lovely as well as an amazing cook (though you can keep the offal for me, thank you)

The other three were pretty much just also-rans. And those ear-things were horrible. I didn't even like his beard, and it takes a lot to put me off a bloke with a beard.

But, oooooh! I hates Greggggg!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/11/2018 18:37

Footle wasn't it Toby belch or were you having a sophisticated joke?

I assumed sophisticated joke, pencil, due to the "surfeit of white sauce"

Grin

""As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool repeats his folly" is biblical - Proverbs. But a lot of older authors used biblical/ classical/ literary references, so it could well have been in a Barbara Pym novel. (I love her books)

Halsall · 21/11/2018 18:49

An Unsuitable Attachment, pencil and schaden. We're kindred spirits on this thread in more ways than one. I love the divine Miss Pym as well Smile

➡️ IMPORTANT QUESTION ⬅️ ‼️‼️‼️

We're on 911 posts now. Should I start a new thread before tonight's ep so we can gather there, then we don't need to interrupt ourselves to go to it in full flow?

OP posts:
SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/11/2018 19:10

I think that that would be wise decision Halsall.

Whether people choose to fill ups this thread before moving on t the next, is their own probably wrong choice, but the next needs to be ready and waiting.

I am still televisually incapacitated, but hoping to be up and running again by tomorrow evening. (Virgin's shite service has probably saved Gregggg's life - something else I can't forgive them for)

GrouchyKiwi · 21/11/2018 19:43

He just looks like he has a headache and a really bad day.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/11/2018 20:02

Halsall

I've got internet on my laptop - just no telly!

But if I watch on the laptop I can't comment at the same time (jumping between windows would mean I miss bits - and that would drive me CRACKERS!

I'm not very savvy technologically.

I'm going to mark my place on the new thread for when.

(BTW four - - who'd a thunk it)

SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/11/2018 20:04

Rubbish Grouchy - that's the Butcher's Original Tripe Mix talking.

He looks mean, moody and magnificent! (with a headache after a bad day . . . )

Wolfcub · 21/11/2018 20:05

Wolfcub · 21/11/2018 20:06

InsomniacAnonymous · 21/11/2018 20:09
