Well, I was wondering, would the Master's Tardis be around somewhere? With its chameleon circuit intact it could be anything...

Mossy · 19/06/2007 09:33

Peachy, normally I'd agree, JB not geeky enough... but just for a one off...

Obviously I'd be straight back to DT the next morning.

Peachy · 19/06/2007 09:37

Didn't they say that The Mster was found as a baby? Which would suggest that even he ahd been found with his TARDIS, he wouldn't necessarily still have it now.

Nope not JB. Just couldn't. Got really annoyed with his over inflated ego on Joseph, I'd fall out with him badly

lemonaid · 19/06/2007 09:38

Can the Doctor fix JB's time travel armband thingy?

lemonaid · 19/06/2007 09:39

He remembered being found as a baby, but then the Doctor-as-John-Smith remembered a (fictitious) childhood.

Mossy · 19/06/2007 09:40

I assumed that was just his "back story", the way the Doctor "knew" he had parents when he became human.

I wonder what the FOB has to do with all of this, too, whether he instructed the Master's TARDIS to change him?

I didn't watch Joseph, so I still think of JB solely as Captain Jack!

Mossy · 19/06/2007 09:40

Xposts Lemonaid!

serenity · 19/06/2007 09:41

Theories I've heard so far

1, they fix Jacks 'space hopper' time travelling device that's embedded in his hand (bouncing back would explain why they can't get back before the Master unleashes his nefarious schemes)

2, They find the Masters TARDIS - his chameleon device still works, it could have been in the work shop all along without Yana realising

3, The Doctors sonic screwdriver moment was him setting a tracking device that meant the TARDIS would return to him after dropping the Master off in the 21stC.

serenity · 19/06/2007 09:42

oh xpost with loads of people!

Fubsy · 19/06/2007 10:04

Wasnt Jack growing a Tardis on his desk at Torchwood?

No that wouldnt work cos theyd have to get back to Cardiff....

SueBaroo · 19/06/2007 10:36

serenity.. I think it's a mix of 1 and 3.

Thanks for your kind words about my fic, btw

MrsWho · 19/06/2007 17:06

His Tardis could be in the back pack? (jacks I mean ) or the forever Jack may have it?

OP posts:
serenity · 19/06/2007 17:27

If you look on this thread , they've posted a picture of Yanas lab, which shows a reel to reel computer thingy that's really similar to a disguise the Master's TARDIS used in a classic Who episode - you'll have to scroll down a bit, it's about 24 posts down, posted by trollface.

newgirl · 19/06/2007 22:06

mossy - made me laugh a lot!

So did the humans actually take off to utopia in their spaceship? or dont we care now that master is back?

MrsWho · 19/06/2007 22:25

They took off but the question now is was it a real transmission or was it the disc thing the Master had at the end (faked??)

OP posts:
SueBaroo · 20/06/2007 13:22

I took it to mean that Utopia wasn't real, actually, underlining how mean and wicked the Master was and that basically, the people were doomed.

moo · 20/06/2007 14:35

serenity's link won't work now - does it say that James Marsters is going to be in Torchwood? How cool is that?!

I only watched the John Sim one last night (catching up from being on holiday) - thought it was fantastic.

Also watched the Angel one - very scary. I really liked Sally Sparrow - can't we have her as the companion instead of Martha? I'm a bit bored with Moony Martha now.

finknottle · 20/06/2007 15:40

Went into ds1's room earlier and saw he has new wallpaper on his computer. David Tennant & John Barrowmann... sigh...heart aflutter...
Must get one too How old am I?

SueBaroo · 20/06/2007 15:57

Sally Sparrow was pretty cool.
But I do like Martha, and thought her 'Oh she was blonde!' remark was rather funny. Ten didn't though, needled him good and proper she did, he he.

serenity · 20/06/2007 17:06

I much prefer Martha to Rose (although I didn't dislike Rose) I don't really know why though. I know she's got a touch of the unrequiteds, but apart from that she's much more together I think.

SueBaroo · 20/06/2007 17:21

exactly! Rose said herself, she was great when she was travelling with the Doctor, but when she was back home, she was useless. But Martha came back home and totally booted bottom.

RedTartanLass · 20/06/2007 20:53

LOL at justamum "perfect sci-fi porn"
MMmmm great idea!!

Martha's a bit drippy!! Didn't like Rose at the start but she kind of grew on me.

3 sleeps to go..Yipee

Mossy · 21/06/2007 09:01

Two sleeps to go now... I'm so excited!

Martha vs. Rose... when Rose first started out I didn't like her at all, but she grew on me. Whereas I liked Martha in the first episode, but now I have to admit, I'm starting to find her a little annoying; the whole "unrequited love" thing is a bit old now... still I thought the "oh she was blonde" comment was funny.

Mossy · 21/06/2007 11:46

Chan Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the last ten minutes of Utopia tho.

Shivers down your spine or what?!

newgirl · 21/06/2007 12:31

i guess when the humans blasted off it was the professor and doctor doing it so goodies - the professor hadn't changed so they might be fine - not sure though

i like martha to look at but a character a bit drippy - rose was too chav i think. sally sparrow very cool.
