The flustered bit that Yana does is a bit like Patrick Troughton's doctor.

Did you know that Derek Jacobi has played the master before - anyone know what it was in?

MrsWho · 17/06/2007 21:19

don't know about that , they seemed very surprised he would be in Doctor WHo on Confidential

AttilatheMum - Scream of the Shalka (isn't Wikipedia a wonderful thing?)

AttilaTheMum · 17/06/2007 22:24

If you look it up on Imdb you will see another familiar name at the bottom of the cast list........

lemonaid · 17/06/2007 23:19

Can be watched here .

Aitch · 17/06/2007 23:21

did paul cornell not write that The Family double ep?

lemonaid · 17/06/2007 23:27

Indeed. And some 'proper' sci fi books that DH describes as being "like Dan Simmons written by Christopher Priest" (in a good way).

Mossy · 18/06/2007 09:59

MrsWho of course you can come.

Now where did I put that Tardis key? Oh that's right, I hung it up on the statue of the weeping angel I have in the back yard... I'll just go and get it...

SueBaroo · 18/06/2007 10:20

Lemonaid, I've been saying for sometime that the bandstand in In the Night Garden is clearly a TARDIS... so now we know

Hels67 · 18/06/2007 11:22

Hello all,
I'm new to this thread - the first Doctor I watched was Jon Pertwee, although my favourite was Tom Baker (my knitted scarf was a thing of beauty!), but I switched it off when Peter Davison took over...until the lovely Christopher Ecclestone that is .

I have a question about Saxon - a PP refers to the Election Day campaign and Martha's Mum, in which episode was this?

TwoIfBySea · 18/06/2007 19:45

Found out today that if you are a Doctor Who geek you should really be calling yourselves Whovians, but you all probably knew that already so I shall shut up now! (Sounds a bit Dr Seus, the Whovians from Whoville!)

Anyway dh was putting up a Martha and the Doctor poster in dts room the other day and pointed out that he never thought he'd be pinning the face of someone from Bathgate on the wall. (We live nearby, about 1 mile away!)

That is totally irrelevant and totally uninteresting but I thought I would share anyway!

MrsWho · 18/06/2007 20:09

Election Day was in 42

JB LoL

OP posts:
Peachy · 18/06/2007 21:33

PMSL about the night agrden

and you dont need a TARDIS Mossy, just plug JB into an old telephone box and you're away - after all he has the TARDIS inside him does he not? And they ahev that cable they spent ages building in the finale of season 1 (though to be honest I think Argos sell those as EHU in their camping range for about £50 )

Loved it, BTW. Kids were mega excited.

MrsWho · 18/06/2007 21:52

Well I spent the morning with 6 over excited Dr Who Geeks (lads in my class!) and shouting random quotes at each other! The head asked me where my anorak was and then joined in

OP posts:
edam · 18/06/2007 22:55

Hey Mrs Who, can I come to your school, please?

Interesting idea Peachy, I thought JB had just been resurrected when Rose blew Tardis breath onto him (oo-er missus) but maybe he does now have some kind of esoteric link to the Tardis. Although the Doctor said it had been trying to get rid of him when he was stowing away...

serenity · 18/06/2007 23:24

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I'm only just recovering from the -10 cold shower I was forced to take after watching Tennant, Simms and Barrowman (and being very norty and reading some rather extreme slash/fic) when I read this!

I don't think my heart can take it, JB and him

RTD knows how to pick the right men

SueBaroo · 18/06/2007 23:28

No way! faints with joy

serenity · 18/06/2007 23:30

Yes way

justamum · 18/06/2007 23:42

Sorry for crashing in, I've been lurking for a while but didn't think I was enough of a Dr Who geek to join in but I have to say, James Marsters on Torchwood OMG!!!!

All they need to do now is bring in the wonderful DT and maybe John Simm and you have the perfect sci-fi porn!

SueBaroo · 18/06/2007 23:43

starts shaking

serenity · 18/06/2007 23:52

(Apologies for bring the tone right down, but...)

David Tennant, John Simms, John Barrowman and James Marsters four way

I think I might be having my mid life crisis

Mossy · 19/06/2007 09:27

James Marsters.... Mmmmmmm! But will he have his bleached hair in Torchwood?

Peachy, it wouldn't be a telephone box that I'd be plugging JB into.

Peachy · 19/06/2007 09:30

AH yes Edam but the TARDIS has been taken

so how does DrWho build another one? He needs the heart of the TARDIS, and where is it? It's in.....

(pure guesswork mind)

Peachy · 19/06/2007 09:32

Mossy- Jb - yeesh! No way! DT oh my god yes, but not JB, way too self assured and nowhere near geeky enough for me.
