ho-YUSS! it's very good fun. and a bit full-on.

SueBaroo · 16/06/2007 21:42

Aitch, i wub wub wub you.

oh and squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Oh, and of course OG has crashed, that was fanwank gold.

Mossy · 16/06/2007 22:11

My good god that was absolutely amazing.

Dh was very good and kept putting the dummy back in ds's mouth the entire way through so I could watch uninterrupted.

And you know, the second I heard those drum beats in Yana's head... I thought, I've heard them before... hang on, it's the same drum beat that Saxon taps out on the table in the trailer... omg don't tell me Yana is the Master...

Then I watched the whole thing unfold... how wonderfully exciting!

Oh I can't wait until next week!!!! I also want to watch it again tomorrow on BBC3!!!!

Aitch · 16/06/2007 22:14

it's the theme toon, yes?

Mossy · 16/06/2007 22:15

Yes it does seem to be the theme tune doesn't it?

serenity · 16/06/2007 22:19

God, going to be very lazy now and just copy and paste my post from another DW thread on a different forum....

'Fan-fricking-tastic! OMG! Absolutely can't wait until next saturday.

The Doctor, the Master and Capt'n Jack all in one episode, run me a cold shower (my crush on the Master when I was a
very young girl has shaped my taste in men ever since!) On top of that the story had my heart racing, it was excellent. I agree that the build up to that wonderful ending was slow, but I didn't personally think it was too slow. It needed that time to build relationships, for the Doctor to have that talk with Jack, for us to sympathise with Professor Yana so that that final revelation hits deeper.

All I want now is for the Master not to be defeated at the end. If the Daleks and the Cybermen can keep reappearing, I want the threat of the Master to be lurking, the Timelord's Fallen Angel (did I mention how much I love the Master?! ) '

(can't swear on that one, it's modded and has a 12 rating )

For the 9 millionth time tonight, that was bloody amazing!

RedTartanLass · 16/06/2007 22:24

Oh shit just seen a spolier on the bbc website, for the last episode! It looks mega exciting!!!

serenity · 16/06/2007 22:36

Yep, read that too. I was a bit irked that I had read it, but now I've seen tonights episode I'm strangely not that bothered anymore - I'm just excited to see what happens.

Do feel that the BBc is pretty daft to have spoilt its own finale by publishing that. I bet RTD and the rest of the Who production team are pretty miffed!

Aitch · 16/06/2007 22:39

of course i don't know what you're talking about but the production team sent out dvds of next week's ep begging us all not to reveal the ending, so i guess they will be v miffed.

Katymac · 16/06/2007 22:40

I am havong to post here as I keep losing the thread

serenity · 16/06/2007 22:42

I'll post a link if anyone does want to know.

SueBaroo · 16/06/2007 22:49

ah go on then..

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 22:52

theory on the hand from OG--My guess is that he plugged it into the tardis, to some device (eg genetic extrapolator) so that he could assimilate the dr's cells and allow himself to regenerate, as remember the master had used all of his regenerations, hence why he kept stealing bodies

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 16/06/2007 22:52

On the BBC Doctor Who website? Or the BBC One website? or what? A spoiler about the actual ending rather than generally about setting/characters etc for episode 12? I don't want to know, I just want to know what to avoid!

serenity · 16/06/2007 22:53

OK then....

HUGE SPOILER OF EPISODE13 Do not read unless you really really want to know, and don't blame me if you change your mind afterwards....

serenity · 16/06/2007 22:54

Actually it's more a spoiler for episode 12 as it's the set up for the events of episode 13 (if that makes any sense)

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 22:55

I saw it before and didn't want to!

OP posts:
SueBaroo · 16/06/2007 22:58

It's not that bad, tbh, the eagle-eyed can certainly have worked that out from clip montages and so on.

The only thing I was everso teensy weensy doubtful about was the Master returning, because I didn't want to be disappointed (and huzzah! I wasn't!) The rest of it, I'm just fascinated about how it's all going to pan out.

And I maintain that Martha absolutely rocks.

MrsWho · 16/06/2007 23:02

She actually showed she was clever tonight.

Loved Jack and the doctors conversation, and the doctors look throughthe little window!

OP posts:
JackieNo · 16/06/2007 23:05

Had to record it, so have only just finished watching this week's episode. I was so excited I was absolutely hugging myself with glee when the watch appeared, and then when I realised he was going to regenerate, and into whom (grammar?). Grinning like a loon. Still am, really.

serenity · 16/06/2007 23:09

I'm going to have to watch it again. I'm sure I missed bits at the end as I was too busy getting overexcited! Hopefully the next time I'll be able to stay calm......

finknottle · 17/06/2007 07:57

John B. is sighably wonderful. Thought the tension between the Dr & Capt. J was wonderfully acted. The scene where they talk through the door is the best I've seen in ages. John B does the serious stuff so well, not just the happy flirtatious bits.
Don't understand how Saxon could have been campaigning for PM on Election Day (Martha's mum scene) while stuck at the end of the universe in his previous body Prof. Yana. Time travel conundrum?
Have to add was never a fan of D. Jacobi but thought he was v good in this.

SueBaroo · 17/06/2007 12:33

So, did anyone else hear anything from the TVM in some of the 'internal' stuff that Professor Yana was hearing? Or was it just my imagination?

AttilaTheMum · 17/06/2007 12:39

Yana has the Tardis - he can go back to 2007 for the election campaign without any problem - his existence as Yana is far in the future.

SueBaroo · 17/06/2007 13:23

Just watched it again, t'wasn't the TV movie, methinks it was Delgado. And how flipping cool is that?
