Thank you .

PortAndLemon · 08/06/2008 00:15

Could also reveal name when dying (properly dying), I thought -- which would also tie in with her telling him how sorry she was before she said it.

SummatAndNowt · 08/06/2008 08:20

I blubbed.

PersephoneSnape · 08/06/2008 10:28

that was totalllllly aweeeeeeeesome!!!!( said like the tiny little boy in the incredibles.)
alex kingston looked fabulous, especially once uploaded.

cornsilk · 08/06/2008 11:29

Just watched it this morning - Wow it was a brilliant episode!

KayHarker · 08/06/2008 14:02

I'm having lots of fun trying to work out why she was sorry about the name, and what could induce him to reveal it. There's some fanfic brewing away about that, I think...

Presuming my answer is more exciting than 'for the marriage certificate'

RustyBear · 08/06/2008 14:08

Is this thread going to fill up before it's a year old? (8 days/77 posts away)

Rachmumoftwo · 08/06/2008 14:15

I missed it, so snuck on here for a few spoilers, but am so confused now. Is it repeated tonight?

RustyBear · 08/06/2008 14:17

It's usually on BBC3 at 8pm - haven't checked this week as we all saw it for once

KayHarker · 08/06/2008 14:51

It can't be him dying, though, surely. It's a great idea, but she was a bit blinkin' happy if she's seen him die. Besides, she said the last thing he did was take her to see some singing towers and he'd had a haircut and blubbed.

Of course, he could have just told her his name because he knew he had to tell her, for timwey-wimey purposes.
But I don't think it's that. I have an idea, but it's got to fit in with what I know of the finale, so I need to get the little grey cells to mull it over for a bit.

Raahh · 08/06/2008 19:31

ok- bit of a change in tack, but Dh got me wondering who over the years has been the longest serving Doctor's companion. He says Sarah Jane, but i think that that's the only one he can remember (but i will be if he is right!)

i could google it, but wondered just how truly geeky you lot are

Katisha · 08/06/2008 19:38

So what do you know of the finale Kay?

RustyBear · 08/06/2008 19:40

It was Jamie.

Raahh · 08/06/2008 19:43

thanks rustybear!

RustyBear · 08/06/2008 19:48

Of course, that's not counting Susan, because we do't know how long she'd been travelling with the doctor before they came to Totter's Lane

Raahh · 08/06/2008 19:49

See, i knew you wouldn't let me down!!

RustyBear · 08/06/2008 20:00

Jamie was there for 113 episodes, from 17th December 1966 to 21st June 1969. He also appeared briefly in the Five Doctors in 1983 (except it wasn't really him, just an illusion) and then he came back in The Two Doctors in 3 episodes from Feb- March 1985.

KayHarker · 08/06/2008 21:08

Katisha, if I told you, I'd have to kill you

I'm going to take a wild guess that your heads are all going to explode with what I've heard about the cliffhanger for episode 12, though. I know mine will, and I managed to leap off the sofa when Professor Yana turned into the Master last year. Well, I say leaped, I sort of staggered up in wobbly air-punching glee.

I have just watched the repeat and heard bits I'd missed yesterday due to the DC. Another line Moffat had recycled from Empty Child/The Doctor Dances is 'I always stand near the door' or similar. DH thinks I am now a geek.

KayHarker · 08/06/2008 21:35

Yes, I've read that. It was posted on DigitalSpy first, and the bloke who posted it got banned for being an arse, and I think said he'd made it all up anyway.

From what I recall, it's cobbled together from set reports, rumours and episode running orders posted in various places, and is already dead wrong about the events of the Library, and misses out Midnight. And it doesn't have mention of the things I've heard from people with a good track record for this sort of thing.

So it's basically like a really complicated fan-fiction. But having said that, the things that I've heard that stand a much better chance of being true are no less , tbh.

KayHarker · 08/06/2008 21:38

oo, Katisha, now my post is all mysterious

stitch · 08/06/2008 21:39

katisha, what on earth could be so nast y as to need deleting from something as innocent as dr who thread?

Katisha · 08/06/2008 21:42

No it wasn't nasty - I deleted myself! In the manner of a cyberman!

RustyBear · 08/06/2008 21:45

I assume it was a spoiler which Katisha had second thoughts about posting (wish I'd seen it though....)
