I liked Sally Sparrow - think she would have made a good companion to the Doctor. And I was absolutely terrified by Blink - kept on wanting to "go into the kitchen to get something" to avoid the scariest bits - only ds won't let me!

KayHarker · 20/05/2008 18:01

I know, I was expressing excited glee at the possibility.

NoBiggy · 20/05/2008 18:04

I heard RTD was leaving on the radio news at 5 o'clock. I thought they'd knock it on the head.

Then when they said Steven Moffatt was taking over, it was a woo! thump the steering wheel moment.

ANd Steve Coppell is staying at Reading too. Quite a satisfactory news bulletin

PortAndLemon · 20/05/2008 21:56

I loved the quote:

Moffat said that the whole of his career had been "a secret plan to get this job".

PortAndLemon · 20/05/2008 21:58

Moffat said: "I applied before but I got knocked back 'cos the BBC wanted someone else. Also I was seven."

UnquietDad · 20/05/2008 22:18

Sally Sparrow? Yes PLEEEEEEEEASE!!

AitchTwoCiao · 21/05/2008 14:01

moffat

Frizbe · 21/05/2008 20:35

hurrah for Moffat, I like him.

KayHarker · 24/05/2008 19:37

Well, in the disgraceful absence of Silence in the Library...

What did you think of the trailer tonight?

His face when he thought about Rose coming back - aawwwwww.

KayHarker · 28/05/2008 10:59

Oh come on, you can start getting excited now, it's only a few days away.

ellceeell · 28/05/2008 11:03

yep, me and dd2 already getting excited! although dd2 doesn't like 2 parters as she finds it so hard to wait for the next episode.
I think I spotted 11 Agatha Christie book titles in the last episode - anyone get any more?

RustyBear · 31/05/2008 20:52

Well, good luck getting all your little ones to bed tonight....

Jodee · 31/05/2008 20:55

[Desperate emoticon] can anyone post in my other thread please!!

RustyBear · 31/05/2008 21:06

I have posted, but I don't think it's a lot of help! Sorry!

Hassled · 31/05/2008 21:08

I blardy love Stephen Moffat. That stuff about the dust see in sunlight - brilliant.

KayHarker · 02/06/2008 15:28

Light Relief. Funniest if you've watched ER, naturally, but still amusing otherwise. I am a child.

Sniggers @ stethoscope joke

sallyforth · 02/06/2008 22:27

tee hee! made me laugh too!

PersephoneSnape · 02/06/2008 23:22

i LOVED that can't wait for next weeks.

beansprout · 03/06/2008 07:53

That's fantastic!!

PersephoneSnape · 05/06/2008 13:39

anyone see the clip from next weeks on the bbc doctor who page? oh! it's teasey!

two sleeps!

KayHarker · 05/06/2008 14:09

I'm going for his name. Not that I think we'll hear it, but I'ma thinkin that's the only thing I can think of that would 'convince' him she is trusted by him at some point in the future.

I also have a hunch she does something with the TARDIS, too. Like opens it or something like that. Or maybe she is the TARDIS.

PersephoneSnape · 05/06/2008 14:25

i think it is as well -

i think (might be a bit uber geek here) when gallifreyans are banised for dodgyness they lose the right to be called by their name, hence' doctor' however- as they grow in magnitude/god like status, their names lengthen. I think i read somewhere that the doctor has 37 syllables in his name. or maybe it lengthens with each regeneration.

or maybe it's just kevin.

KayHarker · 05/06/2008 14:42

Ah, so she whispers "Alright, Kev?" and he steps backwards, amazed.

"How could you have known that? My name is is hidden in the mysteries of the Medusa Cascade."

"Erm, sorry love, but you've got it on a name-tag in your collar."

PersephoneSnape · 05/06/2008 16:52

Kev for short - the real name is actually bjhan-ku-phan-ming-mong-fenic-jjartisflat-ferrari-poodle-bum-llanphelyn-girt-stilog-barrrrrrrrrranis tog-phandle-snert. But that won't fit on a name tag. His poor mother - having to write all of that on the lable in his gym shorts.
