Is anyone planning on watching this?

I read the books and found them compelling but in a trashy kind of way Twilight meets Fifty Shades via witchcraft.

Not sure about the casting but I'm absolutely giving it a go tonight

Just to throw it in the mix: Matthew and Diana are mated, so basically they are married in the eyes of vampires.

I am so glad I banned the rest of the family from the living-room. Matthew [swoons]

He is avoiding actual sex to protect her. He is manipulating the wording of the covenant and interpreting it literally rather than taking the spirit of it. So all the foreplay is fine but consummation of the mating bond isn't. Or so he argues.

Diana does get a bit brassed of with it eventually, even though he has orgasm magic!

Can I just say that the first shot of Matthew talking to Isabel when they were leaving Sept tours... I really did almost sigh out loud. How gorgeous can one man be?
I think the series is improving. I'm really starting to like Sarah and Em, they are brilliant. TP's acting is still wooden however the script is clunky so it would be a big ask for anyone. I can't think of an actress that would fit the role better physically, she is a natural beauty.

The Satu story line is a bit shit though. I'm really not sure what the hell is going on in Vienna and that scene with her and Domenico (who is supposed to be a baddy but he's a bit like my friend's older brother, IYSWIM) was so irrelevant. She swooned and then got up almost immediately, I thought she was powerful? Even if her power's gone she's not going to turn into a wet noodle overnight!

But hey, Matthew Goode.

What's this a PP said about a fourth stand alone book? Is the wonderful Matthew de Clermont in it? I'm off to Google!!!

Yes, the new book is mostly about Marcus. Matthew does feature in it though.

I enjoyed seeing the old house and its narratively extremely convenient production of visions and book pages!

Sad that it's the last one this week so fingers crossed for season 2....

Had a double whammy catch up of last week and this week whilst DH was doing the ironing yesterday.

I am officially loving it. DH's enjoyment a tad more muted, but is very understanding of my love lust for Matthew. The story is getting much more interesting and setting up nicely for the finale next week.

Have got everything crossed that there will be a second series.

I thought the book was meh but I have enjoyed the series, largely because of Matthew Goode, he's very good at brooding.....

Matthew is gorgeous. He’s very ‘James Bond like’ in it too. I love a bit of brooding menace. If he beefed up a bit he’d make a great Bond.

Nope, I don't swoon over Matthew. I do like a good bit of brooding, though. I might swoon a bit over Trevor Eve , he is outstandingly evil and menacing.

the only thing I don't like about Goode is the vampire growling. He just looks constipated! He's sexier when he's interviewed out of character. I was going to say IRL but realised that'd be giving a false impression that I knew him!

I'm relieved it's been renewed.

I've really enjoyed it but I can't ignore the fact that there are MANY flaws

I'm hoping that the Elizabethan phase of the story will see it improve.

If you compare like high cost high production value shows to it, it's lack of the same calibre really shows.
