Oh, thanks bugger Smile

buggerthebotox · 15/04/2017 09:52

why I'm not sure if the balaclava clad men in S1 are connected either. The amputated fingers MO is interesting too. And Hilton gets even more dodgy-looking in hindsight.

I still don't get the Hana abduction thing. How did the abductor know she was going to cross the road at that particular point in time? She was randomly running for a bus ffs. Unless those other girls were involved too somehow.

They were all wearing hooped earrings....in a nod to the "hooped earring with backs on" theory upthread maybe? getting a bit carried away now.

FeralBeryl · 15/04/2017 10:32

I've started us a shiny new thread but am too stupid to do a link 😫

How can Nick be involved in the killing of Tim if he was trying to grill his wife about where she was on the night of the 17th when it happened?

I don't think he is involved but is into something else (sex ring? or just something like being an adulterer?), which is why he doesn't want to admit that he was also not home on that night.

And Kate gets a call from Steve re KRG30, immediately goes to forensics and Roz and Jodie don't wonder where that came from?
Why would she randomly question that?
They do wonder. They have a conversation about it, just before Roz butters her up by suggesting a drink to talk about her career prospects.

Roz's boss is dodgy I think this is the key to the whole thing. They have history and he's got something on her.

I'm struggling with the Hana/Tim timeline too.

I'm sure she didn't know him when he went to the cafe, and they talk about 'cleaning' (possibly a euphemism for 'sex services') as if for the first time ie he hasn't yet been to her flat. I don't know when he could have been and left his DNA in her bed.

Who left Roz the Post-it saying 'someone is watching you'? Is it Buckles? If so, he's on very thin ice defying Ted.

NotJanine · 15/04/2017 14:27

I thought the post-it was from Jodie(?) the eager beaver young girl. She caught up with her outside

Ferrisday · 15/04/2017 14:27

Sapphire-I meant why didn't they wonder why Kate just got up and asked about krg30, where did that question come from?
We know Steve flagged it up, but it's nothing to do with Kate

Interview with Adrian Dunbar- no spoilers

PollyPerky · 16/04/2017 08:49

well , going back to my previous post. Roz's boss is the kingpin in all of this. He's as bent as a paper clip.

I don't know how or why but reckon there is some dodgy sex ring going on involving coppers at the highest level. Roz (imo) is in the dark but knows something and he's keeping her sweet (promoted) to keep her quiet.

Everything and everyone else is small fry.

Elendon · 16/04/2017 11:31

I have such a crush on Adrian Dunbar.

PollyPerky · 16/04/2017 14:59

Steve A is showing in the credits for tonight....

Ferrisday · 16/04/2017 15:19

Yeah- I swear it said 20 episodes last week

Floisme · 16/04/2017 15:26

I saw Steve in the credits too but then I thought he could just be appearing in flashback. However there's also a trauma consultant listed..... Now admittedly I've lost track of all the other head injuries but I'm going to take it as a sign that he least makes it to hospital alive.

OutToGetYou · 16/04/2017 15:27

Could be flashbacks? Currently rewatching all old series, nearly at end of series two now.

ktel1 · 16/04/2017 19:48

I think the SOCO guy Kevin is somehow involved- he's the one who noted the KRG13 evidence and was on duty in the evidence room when Roz switched the sample.

I'm not sure what his involvement is exactly just a feeling.

OutToGetYou · 16/04/2017 20:36

Having gorged on S1, 2 and 3 this weekend and reminded myself how they are all inter-woven, I'd be surprised if there wasn't some resurgence of the paedophile ring in this as it was never resolved.

Clawdy · 16/04/2017 22:09

Hmm, what is Maneet up to...........

OutToGetYou · 17/04/2017 17:32

Everyone is double-crossing everyone. Hilton asked Ros if his name was mentioned and she said no, but it was?

We now know where all the sexist remarks were leading. Bit too obvious there methinks - having just gone back through all the previous series the worst Hasting did was call everyone 'son'.

Lovely Patrick Balady though, have always liked him.

Slightlyperturbedowlagain · 17/04/2017 20:16

Hastings used very sexist terms when speaking about Roz at the Tim Ifield murder scene. I can remember exactly what he said but remember thinking I would have been furious Id heard it said about me.

Slightlyperturbedowlagain · 17/04/2017 20:18

Sorry, yes I get what you mean, he hadn't used them in previous series? I'm sure he had form for saying 'missy' though (or maybe I'm confused with something else)

OutToGetYou · 17/04/2017 21:51

I've spent a very quiet weekend watching all 3 series, and up to date on 4, and didn't notice anything in the old series.

He called Roz 'darling' and she called him out saying she wanted him to use gender neutral terms (though 'darling' is, in fact, gender neutral, you'd call a man or a woman it). He also compared Kate to Pans People talking to Steve who looked a bit Hmm

And when Kate suggested they go out for a drink to talk Ted was very hesitant and then she said 'or in the office'. But he did the talk with Steve when out for a drink (all boys together) and then promoted Steve.

But he wasn't really like this in previous series. He just has a penchant for calling everyone slightly patronising names like 'sonny', 'sunshine' etc. (not saying that's OK)

Slightlyperturbedowlagain · 17/04/2017 21:53

But if it's to everyone equally then it's not sexist I guess? The pans people reference made me laugh too- they were big 40 years ago so I suspect Arnott would not have had a clue who they were
