I think we will see that Roz hasn't done anything but cover for others to save her career, in a world where everything is stacked against her anyway. We will end up hoping they don't work out the 13/30 clue and seeing her as a victim.

I'm sure hubby is central to it all. He will have planted dopy solicitor. All points to a sex ring.

hollyisalovelyname · 11/04/2017 12:55

Please explain as I have not seen any of the other series and missed the first episode of this series😰
Is Adrian Dunbar investigating other police officer in full view of those being investigated
ie Thandie Newton.
Are they all in the one office ?
Is Thandie N being investigated while still investigating the murders?
Has another man been sent in to head the investigation yet Thandie N still seems to be in charge.
Who does she think Vicky Mc Clure is ?

joystir59 · 11/04/2017 13:02

Just watched third episode- just brilliant!!!!!

Rattata · 11/04/2017 13:05

People know that Adrian Dunbar runs the AC12 (anti corruption department). Steve is also known. Vicky McClure does the undercover work. Thandie Newton and Co work at a police station in a different building and location to AC12. Thandie Newton has managed to stay involved even though she was taken off the Trapdoor case ( and the new DI appointed) she was given another role which crossed over and meant she could muscle in again (bit ridiculous given the investigation into her). Thandie has been told that Vicky McClure is on secondment from East Mids who supposedly think there may be a link between a killer up there and Balaclava man and so have sent her down to investigate.

hollyisalovelyname · 11/04/2017 14:06

Rattata
Thank you.

On a tangent- in the Sleb Twaddle ( celebrity gossip) section on Mumsnet I was disappointed to read of one Mumsnetter's opinion of Adrian Dunbar after meeting him.

SapphireStrange · 11/04/2017 15:20

That's gutting, holly!

Actually, where IS Sleb Twaddle these days? I can never find it. Or do you mean an old thread?

hollyisalovelyname · 11/04/2017 16:27

I'm on the Mumsnet app site. Just go to Topics and it's there. You can also choose your favourite topics.

SapphireStrange · 11/04/2017 16:28

I haven't got the app. It doesn't appear on the main site anymore as far as I can see.

tribpot · 11/04/2017 17:08

It's under 'Fun and games' in the topic list - here's a direct link.

SapphireStrange · 11/04/2017 17:11

Oh, fab, thank you! I was searching in 'Full Topics list' but didn't realise it was under a sub-heading.

iwanttobemissmarple · 11/04/2017 22:50

Finally caught up with episode 3 & mn Grin

I've decided everyone is guilty- they are all in cahoots with someone or other but I don't know what. That's because it's easier than me saying TN is guilty then Kate then the gorgeous Ted etc. My brain hurts too much.

I hope Steve makes it but I don't think he will but then this is tv land & not real life so here's hoping he does.

The only thing is I don't think Lee ingleby's character is a wrong un as that's already been done in Broadchurch & No Offence.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 11/04/2017 23:06

He was also Sam Tyler's dodgy dad in Life on Mars.

I can't hear operation trap door without thinking "don't you open that Trap Doooor"

peukpokicuzo · 12/04/2017 07:32

My theory is that Steve will be shown to survive, recover, and solve the whole case with much glory, honor and adulation - awards ceremony, promotion etc - and then there will be a swimmy-fade-to-black cut with the image of him on the stairs from the end of episode 3 and we realise that everything from that moment on was the hallucination of a dying man (like Life on Mars but without the time travel)

There's a witty review from the Guardian which I enjoyed.

Whywaitfortomorrow · 12/04/2017 12:15

A bit off thread but any recommendations for what to watch when you're not watching this ? I have had to watch each new epidode at least twice and I need to watch something else to get me through the week. If nothing else this is teaching me patience !!

Whywaitfortomorrow · 12/04/2017 12:16

Peukpok loved that review, very entertaining.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 12/04/2017 12:20

I've been enjoying Clique on the iPlayer, BBC 3.

Whywaitfortomorrow · 12/04/2017 12:23

Any medical people on here to vouch for loss of blood and death ? Steve can't possibly survive that...he is upside down, blood flowing out of wound and of course he fell on his back down 1 or 2 flights of stairs. Jamie, welcome to the fold fella.

stonecircle · 12/04/2017 13:13

But his colleagues know where he's gone and that something may have happened - especially as he's not answering his phone. So they'll get there in time to save him. Won't they ....?

Arkengarthdale · 12/04/2017 13:22

I'm another who switches off quick before they get to the trailer for the next episode. I don't want to know! I just want to watch!

Love this thread though. I must watch series one again - I didn't know it was a series, I just thought they'd hit on a winner of an idea and did something similar in series two. I didn't remember the AC12 team from series one.

I haven't a clue what's going on so no nuggets of wisdom to add Grin

CoolCarrie · 12/04/2017 13:56

Dh says Steve is a goner or in a coma, and unlikely to recover The combination of blunt head trauma and the fall, but Martin Compston is Scottish so hard headed! ( I am a Scot so am allowed to say that)

CoolCarrie · 12/04/2017 14:00

It's not the blood loss would kill, it's a combination of trauma, broken back bones, and shock that would be the issue.

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/04/2017 16:31

I would have thought so too.

However, in a loooong career in A&E and Critical Care I have looked after many, many unconscious patients. I have never known a single one who suddenly woke up after a significant period of uncnsciousness in the way TN did - they usually move about and grunt/moan for a bit well before any eye-opening - and was then able to (presumably) fight off a chainsaw-wielding man, kill him, conceal the evidence and then carry on about her business.

issynoho · 12/04/2017 18:57

Can anyone explain why, when you see the operation name in emails and documents, it's written 'Op'era'ti'on Tr'a'p'do'o^r' ?

Is it police protocol to thwart hackers or something?

tribpot · 12/04/2017 19:03

This seems to be something Tim has done, I'm guessing it was to evade basic filtering of his email to make sure it got through to AC12?

issynoho · 12/04/2017 19:08

Ah, that would make sense, yes. Am rewatching to look again at Mr Ros and whether he seems dodgy in hindsight...
