I have finally figured out what programme the sidekick in Torchwood (had to use turn-on-spray to get the girl and boy in first episode) was in.

He was absolute brilliant and was my favourite character in it.

'Bleak House' - Guppy.

Have to use matchsticks to stay up till 10.00 p.m. Jack is not as charasmatic as Christopher but hey ho ....its early days.

No - like I said before, Owen looks like he's got a size 10 face stretched over a size 14 skull

MrsDoolittle · 24/11/2006 12:10

Hilarious Iklboo!!

cor...that one was quite violent

PeachyClair · 24/11/2006 22:29

was starting to annoy me but fairies and last weeks made me laugh, mind you migt be coz of the Brecon kids at Uni LOL! not sure they eat humans though...

If you can't suspend disbelief for 50 minutes its a shame, its escapism

nikkie · 25/11/2006 22:16

Just re-watching the cyberwoman one and it says Lisa worked for Torchwood London

Honeymum · 26/11/2006 11:21

Suspending disbelief is easier if the plot's a bit tighter is all I am saying. Doctor Who manages it and Russell T Davies is a fab writer who has managed in the past to pull off bonkers concepts (Christopher Eccleston as the messiah for example). I'm not sure that high camp and cheesiness is what's intended, that's all.....

Katymac · 26/11/2006 22:00

OK who did she hug at the end of the last episode?

Katymac · 26/11/2006 22:03

Or rather which one hugged her?

Katymac · 26/11/2006 22:17

S'OK I worked it out

WhyDooLittleStarsShine · 27/11/2006 09:48

I didn't watch it last night - I was watching whatever was going on in the jungle.
I'll watch it Thursday - was it good?

Overrunnerbean · 27/11/2006 09:53

Thought last nights was much better. Really enjoyed it. Still some silly things about it, like the guy who planned to blast his family away leaving the door open, but hey

foxinsocks · 27/11/2006 10:02

yes, I thought it was a good one. Definitely worth watching.

JackieNo · 27/11/2006 10:05

And when Tosh said her line wrong and obviously nobody had noticed - when she was talking to Mary when she first met her in the bar, she said 'so how many of there are you?', instead of 'So how many of you are there?'.

serenity · 27/11/2006 10:06

Another one with lots of sex - gwen/owen stuff was very funny (oh, and I agree with the whole 'tree' thing, referred to him as ratboy prior to that episode, but now he's growing on me in a gross kind of way) I can't remember who the 'guest star' is although I recognise her from something - must go google, excuse me!

foxinsocks · 27/11/2006 10:07

yes, there were some silly bits and I still find most of the characters deeply irritating! Felt like slapping Owen and Gwen this week.

foxinsocks · 27/11/2006 10:10

Daniela Denby-Ashe was it?

she reminds me of one of the children's tv presenters

JackieNo · 27/11/2006 10:12

According to IMDB, she's been in My Family and Eastenders.

JackieNo · 27/11/2006 10:12

here .

serenity · 27/11/2006 10:15

Eastenders (don't watch) and My Family (which I've occasionally seen so that must be it) apparently.

It'll be nice if we get an episode where Jack actually does something, he seems to be very much in the background lately.

JackieNo · 27/11/2006 10:17

Anyone feel there's a bit of a potential mutiny building up among the Torchwood staff - both Ianto and Tosh have now had loved ones 'removed' by the rest of them - is that going to surface later on as a story?

lemonaid · 27/11/2006 10:17

The hearts thing was kind of plonked into last night's, I thought. I was watching it thinking "ooh, this is quite good, I can't see quite how the two strands of plot are going to link up" and then they more-or-less just went "Ta-daa! It's all connected!" when it wasn't, really. In Buffy they could get away with "Oh, this is a special kind of demon who needs to eat hearts", but this is SF (admittedly SF-lite, but still) and I expect some kind of attempt at an explanation, however half-arsed...

lemonaid · 27/11/2006 10:18

And she was in the North and South dramatisation (last year or earlier this year, can't remember which)

foxinsocks · 27/11/2006 10:21

wasn't it explained when she ripped the heart out of that soldier? I suppose they didn't go into all her other victims...

Last night kind of carried me along for the ride iyswim. I felt it flowed better than some of the other episodes.

Also thought the bit at the end when Mary went off on her transporter was a bit too convenient.

Katymac · 27/11/2006 10:26

Did Jack kiss Ianto so that he got the nanobots and will live forever?

Did Dr Who drop Jack off after the nanobots in the past & that's why he lives forever?
