Was it just me who thought they might've re-edited since reading our love appreciation obsessiveness because this episode, more than any, brought out the phwoarrr and aaaahhhhh factors more than ever.

It strikes me that the best episodes plot-wise are nicked - this one seemed heavily influenced by Henry II and Thomas Beckett.

Wouldn't it be so much better if Capaldi managed to film just one last episode so that Richelieu got a decent exit because it's going to be such a shame for him to just vanish. He's the axis of evil, he's the main man! In the legend and on my bloody tv. AAAARGH. Last night really was superb. It just had the right balance of everything!

I almost even cried when Isabella got shot! And my blood ran cold when Milady hid from Richelieu and you could see him in the background seeking her out.
