I need to watch it more carefully in future - thanks for the explanation (but excuse was that had kitten crawling over me throughout programme Grin)

Yonionekanobe · 05/09/2013 20:09

We use Ukrainian builders. They were awesome. Grin

I didn't like all the concrete - I just know I'd have permanently grazed elbows if I lived with it :o

Watching it now - that's about the crossest I've seen Kev, when they told him they'd concreted over the beautiful reason for buying an old property 20s floor.

Basically, they bought a 20s facade and a big garden, then hid a completely standard concrete modern house behind. Which is fair enough, but I wouldn't fancy living in the Lyttleton Foyer myself.

Hangar door would be impossible in a gale or if snow blows up against it. Hope there is another door!

KatoPotato · 09/09/2013 10:16

Do you have to keep the hangar door button pressed throughout the motion?

Imagine, 'Quick Gwyn, we need to leave NOW!'

MousyMouse · 11/09/2013 21:03

here with Biscuit and Brew

Gracelo · 11/09/2013 21:13

I missed the start. What sort of job do they do?

MousyMouse · 11/09/2013 21:15

she's a sahm (former actress)

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/09/2013 21:15

Missed that bit.

How on earth did they get 17 neighbours to agree to having a lovely old wall pulled down to build a really really expensive place whilst they lose their little green oasis?

MousyMouse · 11/09/2013 21:18

the plot looks huge now that it's cleared.

Whereabouts in London is it do we know

MousyMouse · 11/09/2013 21:20

camden I think.

Quangle · 11/09/2013 21:25

ooh yeah that's Camden or Kentish Town somewhere I'd say. Can't believe they got 17 neighbours to agree to let them do anything like this. I'd say no just on the grounds that no one needs a lap-pool and they should just do without the basement. But then I'm mean.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/09/2013 21:27

They said Camden.

Big rows not good. He is very driven.

wahwah1270 · 11/09/2013 21:38

Thanks. Can't see how the neighbours would agree....

Mull · 11/09/2013 21:40

I really recognise her. What has she been in?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/09/2013 21:41

No :( so close.

Quangle · 11/09/2013 21:42

and he seemed like a great builder - respect to him for taking on such a huge challenge and how awful for him and his family to lose their business.

NoelHeadbands · 11/09/2013 21:45

Mull I was just going to ask the same thing.

We missed the beginning and I've been saying to my DH every two minutes "I know her- I'm sure she's an actress, what's she been in??"

noseybonk · 11/09/2013 21:46

EastEnders - Ashtray Saskia

ClaudiaWinklepants · 11/09/2013 21:46

Wasn't she Saskia in Eastenders, many years ago? The one that Steve Owen murdered?

dazzlingdeborahrose · 11/09/2013 21:47

Eastenders. Saskia. Came to a bad end.
