For those of us who have no life care about Corrie and want to see it returned to its former glory.

And want answers to questions such as:

Why are Sean and Marcus moving back into Eileen's pokey house instead of getting a place of their own as other couples with two wages would do?

And does anyone else apart from me and Edith Weston remember when Corrie was on two days a week and was a high quality drama/comedy?

I like what's happening with Tommy.
Originally he was going to be the new 'heart throb who breaks a few hearts'. But I agree MrsGuy it's poignant and (almost) real.
Next up will be Carla's brother for the HTWBFH part.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 25/04/2012 08:19

I'm glad Terry is still nasty, it would have been totally unbelievable if he had come back as Mr Nice Guy. I guess he's only back for the short term as usual?

LineRunner · 25/04/2012 17:49

He can only learn a few lines at a time.

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 25/04/2012 18:31

LR Grin

magentastardust · 25/04/2012 18:33

Apparantly he is journalist in real life has been for years and just comes back when he gets the call every couple of years!

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 25/04/2012 18:39

would be good if more of them were on call so it would seem more realistic - eg Sarah-Lou poppng back for weddings/Xmas etc

BrightnessFalls · 25/04/2012 18:49

Thats so true. Why dont they all do that? I mean that funeral was just silly. No oldies there. What about him that went to work in Germany, has he just given up on his marriage just like that?

TheScottishPlayer · 25/04/2012 19:16

I read somewhere that Terry said only Corrie wanted him could ever persuade him to go back to acting.

whatkungfuthat · 26/04/2012 07:43

Did anyone see some of the cast being interviewed on This Morning? They are featuring a soap each day in the run up to the soap awards. Alison King who plays Carla was wearing really casual bright clothes and Converse, looked a bit strange after always seeing her in 'black widow' gear.

PoorAudreyHorseface · 27/04/2012 15:47

Did she speak with a normal voice or her Carla voice?

OP posts:
whatkungfuthat · 27/04/2012 16:56

I didn't notice as I only saw the tail end but I just found on youtube where she is speaking a bit more like Linda Block

SerenityUndercover · 27/04/2012 19:31

Hi, I'm a life long Corrie fan and aren't half pleased to have found this thread! Often sit there saying to DH (who doesn't care less!) : "Why have they suddenly got a lounge plus kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms in the Rovers upstairs when it's clearly tiny?" "Why is there no mention of Julie's pregnancy?" "Where is baby Liam these days?" "Where is Michelle's son Ryan?"
Current query: Since WHEN (and Why?) did Norris become best buddies with Mary since the excellent "Misery" storyline with Mary's wedding dress and locking Norris in and all? He was completely freaked out but now they're totally friends without even a little bit of eye-rolling at Mary.

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 27/04/2012 19:46

Serenity - yes I do all that! What's funny is that DH who purporas not to be interested, will often come inot the room and stand watching for a few mins ( never sitting down Grin) deriding it, disappears, the returns etc...

LineRunner · 27/04/2012 20:05

Terry Duckworth's not having a SEV license is so aaaaagh boring. I assume that's where this lame plot is going?

Hello Serenity. Smile

BrightnessFalls · 27/04/2012 21:06

Doesnt poor Anna's husband pay any maintenence towards little Fay?

meditrina · 27/04/2012 21:08

I doubt her husband has two beans to rub together.

I was wondering where Max was. Kylie flounced on Thurs without him, but did come back for him today.

BrightnessFalls · 27/04/2012 21:15

Where is Julies bump? why isnt she wearing lovely 1950's style maternity frocks? I thought she'd be wearing them from the day she found out.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 27/04/2012 22:07

The Windasses aren't actually married, Anna took his name and wears a ring though, but I thought they jointly adopted Faye, so he should be supporting her. It's a shame he left, he was turning into a great character and Anna wouldn't have fallen into the clutches of the dreadful Owen.

It was only just before Eddie left that I realised that he was one of the actors from The Full Monty.

BrightnessFalls · 27/04/2012 22:20

I wonder if he was ill in RL, he just went. I really liked him.

TheScottishPlayer · 27/04/2012 22:39

I thought he was sacked.

TheSameButDifferent · 28/04/2012 00:14

I can't understand why Sally is making such a fuss about Kev and his affair. She did the same to him. One rule for one.

PoorAudreyHorseface · 28/04/2012 01:07

I can't understand why BabyJack has all of a sudden become A Problem Hmm Didn't he stay with Sally and the girls when Kev was staying there because he'd broken his arm (or something)? Surely she got used to him then. Or are they going to palm him off on Aunty Pat and Bill Webster?

(Kev did break his arm, didn't he, or is that another sub-plot I've completely made up?)

OP posts:
chantico · 28/04/2012 07:54

She took Kevin back after his (and her) earlier affairs.

I think this was a new breach, after slate wiped clean (IYSWIM), and it is baby Jack as a constanreinder that makes a difference. I'm a bit fed up with this storyline at the moment. Not as dire/implausible as some, but repeated to often. Still, good to see Rita back in her place as confidante.

LeeCoakley · 28/04/2012 08:18

I can't believe the sit-in storyline is making Owen look half decent against Terry! If there's one person I can't stand it's Owen. The bullying against Eileen and striking Faye especially, I hope they're not going to make him into a good guy.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/04/2012 09:13

Me too, Owen is a horrible character, you get "good" bad guys, like Charlie Stubbs, and Carla's husband (the Scottish one, forgotten his name) but Owen definitely doesn't fall into that category for me.
