Thanks to Millymollymine for the thread title suggestion!

SOTD for me is BDK Creme du Cuir- this has pineapple top notes and a leathery dry down. Love BDK -such a classic house, smells of quality, nothing too loud and in your face but they aren't subtle fleeting perfumes either. Also been getting into Impadia from this house (fruity floral) and Gris Charnel is a classic that I dip in and out of.

Office today today so I can't go in smelling of anything too strong.

My current shelfie with my spring/summer collection is feeling very green 💚. This is about half of my collection, the winter gourmands are packed away, so I’ll be choosing from these and the box of samples for the next few months.

I love rose oud combo!

New thread glee!

SOTD is Lannosea. I really like it! Less citrus than I expected but it’s rich and smells expensive. No idea if it is!

BakeOffRewatch · 01/06/2026 16:18

Hello, checking in! I’m still wearing Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar 42 everyday. I’m not interested in any of my other perfumes at the moment and I do have a couple of full sizes!

I also love Ex Nihilo. Spiky Muse is so nice in the summer heat.

NotTheFreudYoureLookingFor · 01/06/2026 17:16

Sotd rose aikyam (ataratma). Not mind blowing, but quite uplifting and good longevity.

I love rose oud combo!

Have you tried Montale's Black Aoud? It's the most beast mode fragrance I've ever tried. Mind you I bought it at a time when you could (bizarrely) ask for it to be made up double strength, for no extra cost.

I still have some left from 2011 and accidentally sprayed myself with it (it's in a similar bottle to another Montale fragrance I have). I felt like an actual health hazard walking around with it....

NotTheFreudYoureLookingFor · 01/06/2026 17:23

In short, although our rose oud I'm not sure if recommend it 😆

QueefofSheena · 01/06/2026 17:26

Signing in, although I haven’t posted much lately.

I need to go through my 10ml type sizes and choose which to take on holiday next month. I always take too many minis and don’t use them. I have an unopened Discotheque set for evenings so I can switch it up but need to choose a nice freshie for daytime.

No but I had Eldo nostos in the harrods fragrance calendar a couple of years back, heavy oud n rose. Sounds similar.

My rose-oud of choice these days is MH Scherzo

SOTD a sandalwood oil with Real Jardin from Granado.

I’m doing a slow test for a new sandalwood or two. I’m thinking of getting some decants which I’ve never done. Any recs?

Sotd Estee Lauder Beautiful

NotTheFreudYoureLookingFor · 01/06/2026 19:04

Ooh, TPS sent me a replacement for the Connock kukui Noir that wouldn't spray, along with two other little samples! Penhaligon's The Favourite (super powdery boudoir), and Dotto 1+7 (sumptuous, rich, citrus).

That was very kind of them!!

IDontHateRainbows · 01/06/2026 19:25

Tried the new replica, chasing sunsets. Came with a try it first mini sample, just as well as I'm not sure its a keeper. It's mango+ Sandalwood and I don't hate it but I don't like it enough to keep it. It's quite screechy. Intriguing but....nah.

Thanks for the new thread. SOTD for me is L’Interdit.

MotherWol · 02/06/2026 07:31

@Lurkingshark my favourite sandalwoods are Diptyque Tam Dao and Miller Harris Peau Santal. I tried to like Le Labo Santal 33 but it smelled distinctly like pickles on my skin!

Doglover73 · 02/06/2026 07:33

All Beauty have a 2 for 1 offer on. Seems to include some fragrances. X

Sot morning ds durga coriander

I love the smell but not a fan of the rollerball oil style. Prefer a spray.

My two daily ones at the moment are Aldi Lacura Tropical Essence (jasmine and dragonfruit) and my old favourite, Pagan. Depends what mood I'm in as to which I choose!
I get compliments on both!
When I'm going out I'll wear Clinique Aromatics or Mugler Alien.

MotherWol · 02/06/2026 14:50

SOTD is NR Pure Musc Blanc, it’s nice in a clean, inoffensive way but it reminds me a bit too much of Dove soap/Nivea body lotion.

QueefofSheena · 02/06/2026 14:53

SOTD is M&G strawberry

RoseTeaLady · 02/06/2026 16:02

Miller Harris Scherzo for me today as it’s a bit cooler. I generally avoid oud in fragrance, but it’s not too strong in this one. It’s a lovely scent.

TragicMuse · 02/06/2026 17:41

SOTD was YSL Rive Gauche. Love love love. Have done since I was 17!

And then I came home to my eBay purchase of some old formula Ô de Lancôme. Oh. OH! My heart! It’s just as I remember. A beautiful citrus chypre. It has everything I love. I am SO Happy!
