SOTD was Levant by Ormonde Jayne. Its supposed to smell like Valaya so I spritzed that too. Leant has disappeared but I can still smell Valaya

Fico di amalfi. Love the initial fresh and figgy burst of the opening. Figs are my favourite. Mellows out very quickly though. A safe, easy wear for high heat days (which is every day where I live). I have it in 10ml which is nice to have and will use but wouldn’t rp as it’s not special enough and doesn’t last very long.

It remainds me more of fleur natcotique the original. I would buy a travel to get to know it better if I see one

I have huge 150ml bottle that I bought on clearance. Gorgeous boy you need to reapply a lot and agree full price is too much to justify this

Testing DAnnam chapter 1 and 2, well 1 really 2 will be next weekend. Fun brand to sample but they are pricing themselves too hight imo.

Scent of the day part ten.... smelling great before and smelling great again? Sorry thats a crap suggestion, hopefully someone can come up with something better?

Have put some samples in an easy to reach place in a bid to test new frags and use them up. Tested replica when the rain stops and I just really don’t like it. It doesn’t smell like petrichor so find the name misleading. It’s too sharp floral for my taste in the dry down. I also have sailing day, lazy Sunday morning and beach walk but I don’t like any of those either. I’ve tried coffee break as I thought I’d love it, but it didn’t smell like coffee! Weird!

I finally got round to testing the Lust in Paradise extrait today. OMG I'm in love!

I've worn Cherry Stem for a few days then yesterday I switched to Father Figure. I don't dislike either of them but I don't love them either. They seem to fade quite quickly but I don't know if that's just my nose.

Dedcool taunt was last nights choice. It’s an airy type of vanilla with a little bergamot and amber. Could still smell it on me this morning. I’m not much of a gourmand fan so this feels like a vanilla I can wear easily. Today is Vyrao free 00. I’ve seen they’ve reformulated this, which now is very white floral heavy (noooo!) so I’m glad I bought a fs when I did. My skin but better type of scent, soft and pretty. Hot weather scent.

@paristotokyo That’s bad news re the Vyrao. It’s a lovely fragrance and layers really well with something like Sandalwood Temple. I’ll have to see if I can find a bottle of the original formulation

The DAnnam set is fun. So much I ordered the 3rd sample set. Fell for the coffee scent and few others have potential

Tonight I am sampling Strawberry Mochi. Its strange - I love that I tried it, I don't dislike the scent but it does smell like food, savoury mainly to my nose with red bean and rice being stronger then the other notes like strawberry vanilla and brown sugar. I didn't like it as perfume I guess, but it seems popular and well rated. I can not detect any strawberry

Kimono is littkle better, powder, lipstick, rice, magnolia silk and flour. It is nostalgic to me, it smells like someone else. Older glamorous lady who has kept same style since the 80s :).

White rice, thier most famous didn't work for me. It reminds me of glossier you and Diptyque Papier. Its not my type.

Vietnamese Coffee I am getting the condensed milk, coffee and very dark chocolate, very little tonka and it was love from first sniff.

I am kind of leaving the samples I am most interested for last. Da Lat, Sakura Snow I am most interested in, followed by Arashiyama, In the Garden and Matcha Soft Serve

Diptyque Philosykos today. Lovely fresh fig. My MIL has the most amazing fig trees in her Mediterranean garden and this smells like those

I’m wearing Future Memories. I was confused when I first smelt it in the shop, but it really grew on me as I caught wafts of it throughout the day. The dry down was so cosy, a slightly smoky, papery, creamy vanilla, that I bought a bottle on the way home. I think it’ll be a lovely Autumn scent.

Randomly picked one today and went with glossier doux. It’s fine. It’s warm, woody and clean. I’ve seen it described smelling like a cashmere jumper and I get that reference. I prefer freshies over clean frags so it’s not really my thing. I may pass this one on to a relative. Haven’t found a glossier I’ve loved.

Matcha soft serve D'Annam. The initial opening is so strong but I am intrigued by the drydown. Lets see how it goes.

Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur today. Really like this one. Spicy powdery vanilla.

Also very impressed with the Kilian midnight espresso which landed whilst I was away. It's perfect for autumn. Deep dark boozy rich - and I can pick up some coffee and chocolate scents. Not bad for a blind buy.

Air of Aquarius - still getting the cologne/4711 vibes on this. But it’s nice and fresh.
