@Lurkingshark I opted for a travel size Tea Tonique and the big bergamot soap, along with a handful of samples to restock my collection - excited now!

Tried some of the Miller Harris

Celadon is an earthy spicy herby freshy one reminiscent of from the garden, which i was considering repurchasing at some point, so now I don't need to.

A man would probably like this one its a green freshy I would say, very aromatic.

What i was expecting sisley eau de campagne to smell like but didn't... that was far too in yer face, very spicy/ herbaceous.

I like it in short doses. Would be good on a hot day.

I am saving the other 2 in the stories set to try another day. Scherzo I am already a fan of, and soufflot. Much prefer this sample set ( so far) to bestsellers.

Layered celadon with delina and it works, I now have a slightly spicy, fresh, herbaceous rose! The delina adds a touch of sweetness, so its the perfect balance.

Omg I wore two sprays of the valaya sample from the perfume society box to a wedding today and its still there after 9 hrs! Absolute monster. And to think that while I was getting ready ,my partner dumped it in the bin thinking it was empty, I said in my cool composed way that its a very expensive 2ml sample that I am planning to wear today so you better find it. He ran and did a dumpster dive.I was planning to share some other freebies with him but if someone can throw away valaya are they even worthy of getting those samples?

Omg what was he thinking! Crime against perfumanity!

Memo odeon today. Bought a 30ml after this was in an edit as a sample, love it but I'm seriously gonna stop buying anything above 10ml, 15ml tops in future as full bottles end up gathering dust. Notable exceptions byredo mo ghost absolu and mat prem vanilla powder but even they aren't getting repurchase.

I may count up my collection today, this is anything 5ml amd above as I won't include the tiny 2ml samples.

I'm estimating 130 or so...

I'm very excited to be going to London on Friday and more specifically Liberty and even more specifically I've booked an ex nihilo experience in the fragrance lounge! It's a bit pricier than the ds and durga one at £35 as opposed to £25 but I am only in London occasionally and I really enjoyed it last time. I'd be popping in to the fragrance lounge anyway so thought I'd treat myself. A couple of large glasses of prosecco and it's nearly paid for itself! (last time I got a whole bottle which I couldn't finish) .

I doubt I will buy a full bottle, if they did the extrait sets I may or even the edp sets but I think it's only harrods and HN that have those so hopefully my wallet is safe (unless I nip over to Harrods or something. although they are not that near I don't think. I'm not a London native although I'm becoming very familiar with the Liberty area of town!)

Check out the fragrance lounge experiences at liberty.... you get treated like royalty in a private booth with coffee, chocolates etc as well as fizz if you want!

If it lived in London I would suggest a meet up with fellow perfumistas and go en mass!

Dangerously, HN are doing the ex nihilo extraits set with 15% off. I may see how my London trip goes and consider getting it after if I haven't splurged all my money next weekend. Money evaporates on a trip to the capital...

Counted up and I was pretty bang on maybe a bit under

Around 100 test tube travel sizes /10ml size
Around 10 full bottles
20 mini dabbers
And around 25 unopened yet ( mainly travel size) saving for future use

And to think 2 years ago I had maybe 5 perfumes to my name!!!

Recently I've been trying lots of my samples pretty much at random but mostly haven't remembered to make notes, and often can't even remember what I wore. I'm not sure that my nose is particularly sensitive at the moment.

A previous one was Granado Tropicália. I didn't get the carrot cake vibes others have mentioned and I couldn't smell the mandarin and pink pepper opening but it was quite pleasant, lightly woody, vegetal and slightly earthy, nothing offensive, wear any time. Maybe more autumnal than spring/summer.

Yesterday's was Memo Madurai; I think both of these were from the HN advent calendar. I do like jasmine but I don't like turmeric so it was a mixed bag. Thankfully the turmeric isn't overdone, so overall it was a like but not a love.

Today the sun is out for a change, so I've gone for last summer's favourite, Luna. I find this so uplifting. Always reminds me of sherbet lemons mixed with rosewater.

Tried ysl black opium glitter. Its a nah, far too sweet and sickly. I thought it would be like oriana or killian ldbs, but whilst they are sweet they are far nicer. Oriana in particular is delish, my fave sweet gourmand, so I will stick with that.

@HolidayHattie Luna is a recent discovery for me. It’s gorgeous.

Btw if you are interested in liberty, I think you can use the beauty drop for services- not sure about the fragrance lounge. I’m planning on doing so for a birthday. Have fun @IDontHateRainbows I have been thinking of the ex niliho as I love their underlying base / style.

New selfridges fragrance edit out. Some have been in advent calendars last year, some new faces too but they are playing it safe with some old favourites.

I've been mostly using my various birthday perfumes for the last week. Today I did finally crack open my 30ml PDM Valaya from the Harrods advent. Can't decide whether I like this more or less than the Exclusif. I only have about 3 ml of the Exclusif left though so I'll be using up the OG version whether I like it best or not.

I first read about it on these threads last year, tried and loved it, ended up buying a FSB.

Mojave ghost absolu today. I adore this one and after saying I'd move on when the bottle runs out, it may be one of the very few fbs I consider repurchasing. Would have to be christmas or my birthday.

Byredo hold a special place in my heart as the first house who got me into perfume, and I've had 3 fbs from them, mumbai noise this and alto astral.

Hoping my wallet is safe although there's an ex nihilo in one of the sets of 4 minis they do, think it's the woody one, may not be safe from that.
