I'm about a size 16 now. My jeans are baggy on the legs but right around the belly. I just have nothing that fits anymore. Any ideas? I'm a 34L boobs now. Probably size 18.

I'm trying to not buy the dress up thread. But it's so nice, I'd get lots of wear out of it.

Yep op started a new thread specifically about M cup bras, about a day or so after this

Which disappeared as no one replied because she was so rude on this one.

Re the ongoing discussion about bras other posters might find it useful as it identifies non mainstream brands.

I’m an 18 in tops 12-14 bottoms. Im 5ft 4. You have a much better figure than me but we are similar proportions. I was once an hourglass but now have a tummy.

things I find ok are slim fit jeans jeggings leggings. Or elasticated trousers. None of those dig into my tummy. Dresses that skim over my waist area. Skirts can be a hassle as some make my tummy look so big.

I just shop around and buy odd bits here and there that are ok, it takes me ages to be honest.

places that have some styles that are ok on me (most aren’t) are marks and Spencer’s, next (but not most of their things), fatface, evans, live unlimited, Tu, George, Roman and some John Lewis own branded stuff. But just a few bits from each place. Once I find a style from somewhere that’s ok I tend to buy two especially if there’s more than one colour.

have you tried lookiero? When i was struggling to find clothes to fit a few years ago they were a godsend. I still have a lot of clothes from them that I mix and match with things. Not using them nowadays as I have less money.

That’s what I find - for instance I bought a very flattering mauve colour velvet dress from fat face at Xmas that I wear with leggings and boots, was so nice I bought it in silver too - I think what some posters on S&B don’t always get is that if you over 5ft 6 and are built like Kate Windsor you can look good in a bin bag, if you are shorter, overweight, big boobs and have a tum and bum and short legs it’s much harder to find stuff that looks pretty ok, so it’s easier to find the odd thing that does and have it in various colours etc , rather than think ‘is it dated/not fashionable’ etc - I have found the boobs issue a pain in there’s as I’ve lost 2 stone recently so can now get into 14/16 bottoms but if it’s a dress it’s more of a 16/18 due to boobs! And yet I think I look better in dresses -

That dress sounds lush pp

Op has had a c section like me and I find the shelf really annoying so some of the suggestions have been helpful, for it's like mum tum, plus numbness and a wonky scar, nightmare

I think something A-line will work really well for your figure, so could try searching dresses/skirts with that shape. I’d also suggest wearing more of a mid rise jeans/trousers as the high waist shortens your torso and doesn’t accentuate your waist.
Also a wide leg trouser with pleats would look good similar to the Abercrombie & fitch Sloane trousers

This thread is huge already so I might get lost. We have a very similar shape and I have j the same issue, pre-pregnancy I was typical hourglass but now I'm a B shape, 34GG cup, 5ft. I was size 18 but lost a bit and now a 14-16.
I wear a lot of wide leg trousers and v neck t-shirts, but go trousers over jeans because they flow better over my stomach and hips to balance out.
I love the halara trousers with the pleats at front and then to keep things younger and not grumpy, graphic t-shirts.
I also like a cropped knitted waistcoat over my t-shirt, it takes the attention away from my chest

Rigby and Peller go up to a L. I’d visit one of their shops. Not cheap but they will make you feel smaller.

The key for a big tum, is to hide it! No waisted dresses. I’m a fan of wider pants and jeans with a straight top over. Classic shape and V neck. Then add jewellery. Jeans with a bit of Lycra work hard to keep you in. The thing you don’t want is excess fabric or an unshapely cut. Swingy trapeze cut tops can hide a lot too. Dresses cut from the shoulder with swing are good too. Above the knee isn’t flattering and doesn’t elongate your shape. If you can do this, your boobs and tum look smaller. Think sleek and not tucked in and avoid tight or badly cut excess fabric.

I know. If only I was slimmer and taller all the beautiful dresses I see would fit me. I have to just buy what actually fits which is pretty limiting.

Are you coming back op? Lots of us are in a similar position to you looking for a few decent items of clothing. So don’t think it’s just you.

I know I go on about how awful Cotton Traders is now but I bought these jeans recently and they are soooo comfortable and flattering I cant take them off.
They are 100% lyocell so natural fibres but unlike linen dont look like a creased rag after 5 minutes.
The waist is very forgiving and you can adjust to fit your waist.
I drove 10 miles in these and they still looked good when I got out of the car. I have the light blue. I need to get the dark ones too.

If you arent keen on wide leg jeans Snag makes lovely jeans for all kinds of body shapes and sizes...tape measure essential.
I bought a lot of their clothes before my 5 stone weight loss and they were great.
