Looking for fashion for my thick waist, big boobs and weight gain

I'm about a size 16 now. My jeans are baggy on the legs but right around the belly. I just have nothing that fits anymore. Any ideas? I'm a 34L boobs now. Probably size 18.

The wide leg trousers are much more flattering, the jeans are bad op, you need to bin them. The black dress is fine, not very current, but fine, the skirt and other dress less so.

you need wide leg trousers, and a top that comes just above your hip bones, so it sits over your waist band,

This is the side view btw. I don't find it very flattering

Those black M and S jeans are good.

babysnark123 · 01/03/2026 22:01

Kemi Telford is not my style or my personality. I don't think they will flatter my figure. I really like the white and black dress how it fits me. I know others don't like the style etc but it suits me

Much better than either pairs of jeans.

Ok but to be clear I don't have anything that fits due to weight gain.... Wish I never put up photos, I was trying to show my figure more than critique

I love this but it's from a few seasons ago

I actually think this looks fab. You’ve got great legs and the fit is flattering.

You've been given suggestions. The short answer is you'll have to size up. The black and white trousers fit you and you look slimmer in them than anything else you've posted.

They make me look boxy, fatter and shorter than I am. Not flattering and I'm asking for suggestions so I can shop for my post baby body.

I'm not wearing them, they look awful in real life, I've just asked my partner.

Jeans: I recommend Levi ribcage wideleg or straight. They suck my tummy in and are worth the money. And you need tops that hit just below the waist, like a pp said.

I am confused by the whole bra drama..Surely there are shops that cater to you. Bravissimo or John Lewis?
Once you get a better bra, everything will be easier.

I'm a 34 L. So no not that many and ones they do have don't fit a 5"2 small lady.

Ha, I wish
John Lewis don’t do my size at all
bravissimo had maybe 3 types of balcony bra (full cup don’t work for me)
one of those balcony bras doesn’t fit, one stops at a K cup which leaves me.. one bra to pick from

once you’re over a K cup, it gets really tricky

babysnark123 · 01/03/2026 22:24

CharlotteRumpling · 01/03/2026 22:20

Bravissimo apparently goes up to an L
https://www.bravissimo.com/shop-by/size/34l-bras/ Will be worth the money.

Ok here is an 34L cup. On the middle clasp. Does it fit, no. So I get a 36L as its a bigger cup but also bigger overall as the underwire is bigger, so is the design of the bra etc.

If you can find your massive boobs to fit into a bra well, that's great, but I have trouble.

Third try (then I’m going to bed) - please look at the lists of brands I’ve posted (twice) above.

Go to each of the websites and see what they have right now, and how things are styled. Look for garment measurements and use a tape measure to check against your own body.

Have you used an alterations service (seamstress / tailor) in the past? I think it’s inevitable that if you want full access to nice clothes, some things you buy to fit your largest measurement will need altering to fit the rest of you.

Just to reiterate, you do not look even a fraction as bad as you think.

Yes and there is no point saying a cup size because it really depends on the make. I really didn't think I had to explain why hours of searching for a bra throughout my whole life has been an issue.... I guess people have it easier and don't understand.

I had surgery last year and my stomach was bloated for a while. I bought two pairs of elasticated waist trousers from this small company and they were very good quality. Their tops also look like they might work for you.

Can we just understand that women do know bra shops exist and we are quite capable of going to them. Doesn't mean they fit.

I think you’ve got a lovely shape!

But those jeans need to go. Next do some ‘rinse blue jersey denim wide leg trousers’ that (I think) would look FABULOUS on you. They are soft, super-comfy and look cool. Wear them with some cool trainers.

Short sleeved cardigans left open at the neck would look nice on top - nothing long or baggy though. They want to look neat on you.

ScoutOfTheSoftHeartsClub · 01/03/2026 22:32

No, at a size 18 you’re not strictly plus size, but plus sized brands (which will offer sizes 16 and 18) cater to curvier figures than other brands, so you may find it easier to find flattering tops and dresses that actually fit well.

Surely that’s obvious?

Hope you find some lovely new things.
