Looking for fashion for my thick waist, big boobs and weight gain

I'm about a size 16 now. My jeans are baggy on the legs but right around the belly. I just have nothing that fits anymore. Any ideas? I'm a 34L boobs now. Probably size 18.

I agree op. Stay away from the prints, they just look cheap as does anything viscose, it clings to the wrong bits.

You need some good basics, my lifestyle means jeans. I have mostly wide leg in several shades and barrel legs. Try them, because they will balance your shape better. You need to try a lot of pairs and styles to get a good fit. I'd start with M & S as they have a lot of different cut jeans.

Think about classic white and black t shirts and maybe a navy blue, grey or whatever neutral suits you. That gives you some basics for a start.

Yes I love nuteral tones

Ok here is an 34L cup. On the middle clasp. Does it fit, no. So I get a 36L as its a bigger cup but also bigger overall as the underwire is bigger, so is the design of the bra etc.

If you can find your massive boobs to fit into a bra well, that's great, but I have trouble.

Hi I am a 36L ordered from bravissimo - find their own bras fit best for me (not panache or flirtelle), brastop - who are often cheaper and also Curvy Kate. You will need to order a few to get the right shape and fit 😊

MessyNDepressy · 02/03/2026 16:36

Maybe look at Carys Whittaker on social media, that might be the lady you were talking about who tries on clothes in her underwear! She has big boobs and a bit of a tum but her outfits are amazing.

No this lady had dark hair but she's amazing and I love her style.

Yes I've been there and tried on every style and bra. My boobs are too big. I also go to specialist shop as well. I'm not going to mention my boobs any more.

And yes my stomach needs help due to c section, large baby and no exercise.

The trousers don't look good in relai life, everyone says they make me look huge, no shape and loom shorter

Edited

Why not ditch the actual bra & wear a very Stretchy pull on type bra

Hi I've been to the store and ordered and tried every one. They don't fit my boobs, they aren't the right shape or too small. The only bra that fits me semi decently is the one in wearing.

I have exhausted every option available. I'm not new to having big boobs and do anything possible to be comfortable

Going braless isn't an option

same proportions, peri tum in last couple of years has meant my waist is a full dress size larger than the rest of me - almost in tears trying on every jean in M&S, as for them to fit around my waist they skimmed right over my bum making it look flat as a pancake. Then discovered these which have a decent bit of stretch so hug / skim in the right places !

Taking on board your bra comments, I have found Bra Stop to have a wider range of back and cup sizes than Bravissimo. I like Flirtelle as a brand, those bras hoick me up more which gives a good separation between boobs and belly, and that reduces the visual blockiness of my torso. I know people are focusing on your bras, which you don't want, but my experience is once I got a bra that properly shifted them away from my stomach, I had a better shape in my clothes.

Clothes wise - what about barrel leg trousers? Not quite as drastic as full wide legged jeans/trousers but give definition, look easy to wear and on trend. I have seen many folk on Instagram talking about them. I think Cos have a pair of maroon barrel leg trousers that are v popular, and they look v wearable. The colour isn't too heavy.

Tops, I know people go on about tucking in tops, but if I do, all I see in the mirror is BOOBS then legs. And I don't want that. I wear tops either fully untucked, or I tuck them in tight, then pull out so I can move. Prefer untuck though.

I loved wearing wrap tops, my old favourites that I still wear are Jojo Maman Bebe pregnancy wrap tops (my youngest is 11) or some i got in GAP a hundred years ago. Unlikely to have any in shop now, but possibly try Vinted if you want something temporary as you change shape.

I also remember a few years ago loads of folk buying a Hush dress that sounds similar to the M&S jersey tie waist dress. Again, Vinted could have some?

Good luck. I've been where you are and found it frustrating.

What about a personal shopper in a big department store?

they’re suppose to be trained to dress your shape, age, style etc.

thats what I would start with, and they will tell you what clothing to look out for for your shape etc.

if you’re in a position were no bra on the market in the UK fits you then I would be looking at a reduction personally.

—- I’ll grab my coat ….. 😬

Thanks. The issue is the bras don't fit. I'm a 34M but they aren't the right shape etc

Go and get and fine a M cup. You can often find an L cup. So I make do with a smaller bra. I've shown pictures

And that's why you don't like any of your clothes because nothing will fit right without a properly fitting bra. A quick google search shows up a fair few retailers who do an M-cup (as others on this thread have directed you to). But of course you've already tried every M cup bra in the history of the world...

I won't be replying any further. I'm absolutely astounded at the way you've spoken to posters who have genuinely tried to help.
