I'm about a size 16 now. My jeans are baggy on the legs but right around the belly. I just have nothing that fits anymore. Any ideas? I'm a 34L boobs now. Probably size 18.

The top - with or without a t shirt. You can wear round neck if you add a little necklace to pull the eye down.

Your ass isn't flat 😂

babysnark123 · 01/03/2026 21:00

So maybe I should go to marks and Spencers!

It's local to me.

Take a load of jeans in and try. You don't know - so many styles now but stay away from slim and straight.

I love this but it's from a few seasons ago

This I like but it's actually bad colour and print. So tight around my boobs now as well

That dress is fine, @babysnark123, but you look like someone who could wear something fiercer .

(The point with the ribbed cardigan @Phaedra and I both linked is that the ribbing and buttons will both work with your figure. You don’t have to look exactly like the model.)

Holidaymumjoy · 01/03/2026 21:10

Just wanted to say, good luck op.

i LOVE people who post their photos. It says: confidence. Well done!

I love the dresses.

i also thought you looked fine in photo posted but if you say the tummy hangs out when you sit, it might be that dresses are better for you. Good luck.

I've worn this skirt to death but my dreaded stomach is now too big and I've put on weight

Well, you’re obviously not going to being wearing that right now so I’d put it away or sell it.

MNHQ’s AI is clearly drunk tonight so I’ll try again. Google:

Also:

(It’s from last year, but the brands are still the same.)

Between them, those two lists will give you plenty to investigate and be inspired by.

That first dress (black one) is perfect.

2nd one is too small.

green skirt is too small and wrong fabric for you.

Hi did you actually read what I wrote? I gave examples and that bra shop is no where near my size

Loose fitting trousers make me look boxy I think?

Edited

yes I did read what you wrote but considering most women are wearing the wrong bra size, and you don’t have any bras that fit, and sister sizes exist, I thought that an online bra fitting at a high end specialist might be helpful.

if it’s not your thing, then fine, but you don’t need to be so rude.

I'm not sure why you have assumed I haven't already been to a shop?

OP posts:
Thedevilwearsuniqlo · 01/03/2026 21:35

ok, I’m leaving this now. This is literally a thread of nice women offering advice.

and I didn’t assume anything. I have no idea whether you have or haven’t been to a shop - all you’ve said is that you have one recent bra that DOES NOT FIT. Maybe you went to a useless M&S. I don’t know. How would I know???

i made A SUGGESTION.

to be HELPFUL.

to be KIND.

babysnark123 · 01/03/2026 21:36

Also I don't think I'm being rude, but I do find it weird that I said I've worn this dress to death but now my stomach is too big and I've got bigger... To be told "it's too small and wrong material". Like I know that, I've already said I've put on weight....

You look great in those dresses op - here are more that would suit you https://kemitelford.com/collections/dresses

They are fabulous.

Notsosweetcaroline · 01/03/2026 21:46

The wide leg trousers are much more flattering, the jeans are bad op, you need to bin them. The black dress is fine, not very current, but fine, the skirt and other dress less so.

you need wide leg trousers, and a top that comes just above your hip bones, so it sits over your waist band,

They're a lot better than the jeans. Try not tucking the top in.

The 2 dresses are too short. Have you had a look at the Kemi Telford dresses? They are really beautiful.

Which jeans? One are for around the house and I should have possibly not posted and the other are too small due to weight gain
