I'm about a size 16 now. My jeans are baggy on the legs but right around the belly. I just have nothing that fits anymore. Any ideas? I'm a 34L boobs now. Probably size 18.

OP, have you actually been to Bravissimo? Or just ordered online? That bra you posted doesn't fit you at all, I can't believe they would put you in that - it's too small everywhere.

If you go to a shop they'll be able to look at your shape and advise the best fit of bra - a full cup might be best. I have big boobs (38GG/H) and only wear full cups, I like the structure. Balcony bras make everything topple out.

The B&W dress and B&W trousers do suit you. The t-shirt is fine. Your stomach isn't that big, really - it's exactly as I would expect a size 16/18 stomach to look. I know it's a pain gaining weight - I'm a size 18/20 and in my head I feel I should still look like I did when I was a size 14/16. But I don't. You just have to accept that you have fat bits, and figure out how to dress them as best you can. Posting pictures of yourself in clothes that are too small isn't overly helpful, as that's all anyone will focus on.

Yes I've been there and tried on every style and bra. My boobs are too big. I also go to specialist shop as well. I'm not going to mention my boobs any more.

And yes my stomach needs help due to c section, large baby and no exercise.

The trousers don't look good in relai life, everyone says they make me look huge, no shape and loom shorter

Thanks. I would really appreciate it people didn't focus on my bra size and boobs. I have been through everything, the cup sizes aren't big enough. I'm fine for bras, I've gone through everything.

People are focusing on your bra because a good bra gives you a good foundation. Whether you like it or not you won't look good without a good fitting bra so you have to start from there. It takes inches off you believe me.

You can try all the nice clothes recommendations you like but it won't matter if your bra is the wrong size. And not forgetting all the other issues that come with a badly fitting bra (back pain, sores, rashes).

If bravissimo don't do your size then you get them made for you (Rigby and Peller do made to measure I believe).

Ex bra fitter here!

If you do SM try looking at @ stylingwithRebecca and @ styleidealist on Instagram. Both are similar shapes to you (and me) if not the exact same proportions.

There is also a shop whose owner is little with large boobs, mothermaple.co.uk and the same on Instagram.

these may offer some ideas of things to try.

PinterandPirandello · 02/03/2026 12:12

I have a figure similar to yours. I wear triumph bras bought on Amazon (not underwires, think the style is called Doreen). They’re not fashionable but provide good lift and shape. I tend to wear shift dresses that end at or just below the knee. Dark bootleg jeans with a blouse over that ends mid thigh. Marks and Spencer’s have some nice, not too tight, boat/slash neck T-shirts in plain colours. I wear those with A line denim or plain skirts, knee length.

I never, ever thought I would buy anything at Hollister in my lifetime, but I was there with DD last year, and on an impulse tried on something called the Livvy high waisted trouser or some such. Gamechanger for a large tummy. And have washed well. I wear them with a boxy tee.

I also love these!

That's great for you but they don't fit.

I'm a 34 L/M

Thank you.

I followed a women from the UK who was really good with offering fashion advice from UK brands. She was shorter and bigger than this girl, I'm sure she has a few children and they are mixed race. I think she lives up north, she could try on clothes in her underwear. You don't happen to know what she's called?

You can't veelibe bravissimo would do that? Lol. Who said they did.

Im quite capable of going bra shopping. I've been to bravissimo as well as a plus size bra shop, and due to my sizing it's impossible to find anything that fits.

You are getting quite rude now.

OP posts:
babysnark123 · 02/03/2026 12:48

Hi everyone I don't need a load of comments suggesting I'm incapable of going to bravissimo or recommendations that a bra might fit me, when it's several sizes too small.

With babies you body can change. With having boobs that ate my size, it can be hard to find anything that fits.

I have sized out of bras it 34L and 34M are impossible to find.

I don't need to sister size because 36 is usually too big on the proportions, which I already struggle with.

I have a great rack and they are perky as well as me being 5"2.

I won't be posting anymore about my boobs, please comment on another thread for that

Frankly I’d be amazed if anyone bothers to offer you any advice going forward. You’ve been really, horribly rude to many posters, all of whom have given up their time to try and help you.

Completely agree, she's actually being quite rude (and hypocritical).

If her bra doesn't fit no amount of money spent on clothes will make her look good, the four boob is just as bad as the sagging boobs. Doesn't matter how 'great her rack' is if her bra doesn't fit as no one will notice it, they'll notice the quad boobs.

Why have you replied to me twice, and why are you being so rude to everyone? Are you drunk? Weird behaviour.

Darling lots of people have commented about my boobs despite telling them to keep on topic.

Why don't you just ignore the posters giving you advice you're not interested in?

I think a lot of us who might have been willing to spend our time on replies have been put off by your weirdly aggressive responses to anything you don't like.

Because if your bra doesn't fit, your clothes won't look good. It's that bloody simple. No amount of money spent on clothes will change that, no matter what clothes people suggest if your underwear is wrong your clothes won't look good. You start from the underwear then work your way through to clothes.

Every bloody stylist will tell you that but you carry on being rude to anyone trying to give you helpful advice just because it's not what you want to hear.

P.S I'm not the one being thick.

Aluna · 02/03/2026 13:37

If you wear a 34L, you’d need a 36K not 36L. Have a look on Ample Bosom they have some lovely stuff.

I agree that the right bra size is crucial to make clothes look right.

Equally, I’d stay away from anything with a tight waist for the moment. Stick to looser shirts, tops, cardigans and dresses for a more flattering look.

Not sure! I should.

Also frustrated, not being aggressive

I am sorry, really did not mean to cause any
offence with the bra advise! It’s just really helped me before is all. I think for summer, perhaps a couple of nice maxi dresses with some sandals would be a safe and stylish option. I think Very and New Look have some nice ones in at the moment. Or go for wide linen trousers with a v neck vest, shirt or blouse undone over the top of its chilly. Have you ever had your colour analysis done? That might be a nice place to start if not.

Ok, so I'm going to dip my toe in the water and say that, unfortunately I agree that your biggest problem is that your bra fit isn't great, and I say this as someone who struggled for years in what I was sure was a 32DD and turned out to be a 30G/H (until I had a reduction).

I also think you have long legs and a short torso, and I suspect that before the pregnancy c-section weight gain you would have considered yourself an hourglass, knew how to dress for that, and are now struggling with the fact that between the boobs and the new stomach, you're having a hard time defining your waist.

I think you should try a pair of good jeans (one of the ones rec'd above) and a knit like the cardigan posted by a pp that comes down to your hipbone, untucked. And for what it's worth, I think bootleg or slim flares would be great for your shape.

I like the first dress, I agree the second looks to small at the moment. How would the green skirt look with a bulkier sweater or a tailored shirt?

As another unwanted aside, do you think you have diastasis recti? I did, post-pregnancy, and pilates and some physio got it sorted and I lost the stomach overhang. And how old is your baby? Are you currently breastfeeding?

I can't get past your first comment so unfortunately you've wasted your time.

I don't understand why people are treating me like a raging bull with a red flag.

I CANT FIND A BRA THAT FITS

Hi no I've never had a colour analysis but I know what suits me, but unfortunately it's a case of also what's available :/

I love watching the colour analysis on YouTube.
