@IDontHateRainbows agree Glossier scents don't have a lot of power. I liked the fig more when I went back to it recently. Not inspired to get more though.

Which is the fig one? Ive tried fleur and reve.

I meant Reve, sorry it's not fig it's plum. It was better after macerating a while.

I have only ever really use one fragrance at a time until used up and then I will start on the next. What’s the best way or storing them so I can have more than one on the go.
I want to try some of my Harrods fragrance calendar ones but storage is putting me off.
Also 100ml of Guidance is taking forever to use!

TheFutureIs · 12/03/2026 07:21

SOTD is an old favourite, Boemia by Granado

Always used to go for florals but I’ve been choosing woody scents recently. This and Sandalwood Temple are favourites

I'm a fan of FM acne studios as well. I also find it very comforting. Managed to get a couple on Vinted and happy with that :)

Sotd Frederic malle acne studios. Because it smelt so nice yesterday x
Ive looked on vinted but prices are high. Not paying a silly price when I have loads of fragrance to use. Ill look out for bargains 😅

Ideally somewhere cool and dark. Although some bottles are gorgeous, it's best to keep them in their boxes or in a drawer rather than on display.

I only learned this last year and still have several opened bottles on my dressing table.

Yes I agree, the prices are much higher now than they were in December!

There was a ton of acne studios around that time due to the SNK calendar. I'm sure I only got around £10 for the one I sold on.

Trying Kayali Musk Santal today. I like this more than yesterday's Musk Latte. It reminds me of one or more of the designer fragrances - Lancome maybe or Prada. It's sweet, mass appeal pleasant.

CorneliaStreet · 12/03/2026 11:12

@Isabelle70 I keep my perfumes in a drawer and most of them are in their boxes too. I’ve had some of the older ones on the go for about five years and haven’t had any problems with them going off so far.

CorneliaStreet · 12/03/2026 11:14

I’m trying Debaser for the first time today. Finding it very green and it’s quite insistent. I think I need to try it again on a much warmer day.

IDontHateRainbows · 12/03/2026 12:29

Fig Erotique today although its lunchtime and I fancy something else now. In the small, friendly, perfume accepting office so I can be brave. Think mojave ghost may be the one.

Sotd kayali vacation sample, Maldives, that a good friend kindly passed on.
I love it. Cant wait to try the other minis in the set.
Have to stop myself rushing buying it 🤣

IDontHateRainbows · 12/03/2026 18:54

Pdm Palatine. Lovely powdery violet floral.

I succumbed to the sephora gwp which lands tomorrow. I bought mainly kayali minis to sell on to get the gwp. Although I dont particularly rate kayali they are popular + I had 10% off.

Sotd 2
Sunnamusk London.
Bought from Trafford centre ages ago.
Have a shop in the middle of walkways. Its an oil. Forgot to look at the scent but citrusy/fresh.
Will last ages as I applied a lot then remembered oils dont need as much on 🤣

Ds Durga DURGA today. Its a tuberose one. Ok, not setting my world alight but perfectly pleasant.

I had an invitation from liberty to meet the real DS and Durga couple who are doing an event there next week to promote their new fragrance. Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near London. Its called Debaser in bloom so I'm imagining a figgy floral, sounds interesting.

After saying Kayali had gone down hill im going to eat/smell my words as I have just tried the vanilla candy rock sugar and am quite enjoying it! I bought a load of the 5ml mini sets to get the sephora gwp, and ended up testing a couple.
It is sweet of course but not too sickly or 90s teenager in the mall vibes.

The actual gwp itself has some interesting minus, a juice expressive floral street almond blossom, nest vanilla and the wild card, a Rosie Jane perfume. Also some mini dabbers I'll sell on.
Plus I got a mb rose dunes to make up to the min spend and sephora threw in a glow recipe freebie to boot!

SOTD Exquise Tentation by L’Atelier Parfum

Much sweeter than my usual style, but I do wonder if it was partially responsible for the kids being wonderful in lessons today?!

I’m off out tonight so have spritzed a bit more. Can really see why people say it’s like La Vie Est Belle

QueefofSheena · 13/03/2026 19:27

SOTE is PDM Meliora which I really like. Reviews on Fragrantica say it’s very similar to Lalique Amethyst and it’s the same creator. I have no idea if that’s the case but Amethyst is so much cheaper that I might take a punt and blind buy

IDontHateRainbows · 14/03/2026 08:32

Fugazzi Orange Crush from the CB edit. Wasn't sure about this at first but I'm liking it now. I'm not a citrussy person so the name put me off, but it's not a zingy one. More floral.

A very successful perfume shopping day. Realized I have £15 HN points and fallen slightly in love with memo odeon, a jammy rose. It was 15% off so with the points a small bottle was £87. Plus I got a mini and a memo scarf free.

Then popped into selfridges abd the fragrance edit was there, its sold out online. Bought 3 of those!

Scent of the day part 8 - the friendly perfumistas will make you smell GREAT!

What a lovely scarf! 🤩

82blue · 14/03/2026 18:33

Oo I’m interested in this scent edit! It’s fragrance week this week, looking forward to seeing what the stores are offering.

IDontHateRainbows · 14/03/2026 18:44

The selfridges scent edit is:
Ganymede - saffrony spice
MC Oud Maracuja - fruity oud
Escentric molecules champaca - floral iso E
Memo odeon - jammy, honey rose
Penhaligons halfeti - spicy, woody
Ex Nihilo hedonist - woody citrus

I know i like Ganymede and Odeon, not too bothered about the champaca and I don't think Oud Maracuja will be for me. Halfeti and Hedonist I've yet to try but they are not my usual scents from the profile. I'll probably list them and see what sells, keeping the Odeon and Ganymede. The Oud Maracuja may end up being a birthday present for someone.
