Today was Ted Baker Jasmine and Lime Blossom
body spray for me. I’ve been off work for 5 days now with this awful cold/sore throat/chest thing that’s doing the rounds and can’t smell anything.

It’s a fresh scent that settles into a light musk. It was a gift from a client and not something I’d normally choose but it’s easy to wear.

Given that I can’t smell a thing and I’m not leaving the house at the moment I didn’t want to dip into the Perfume Society box that arrived this morning, but I’m dying to!

I just wanted to ask you all if I'm really unusual. I cannot bear any other perfume other than one. Anything else feels like it sticks around and is unpleasant! My friend bought me some Milk fragrance for Christmas and I can't bear it, it smells so strong even hours later. But Chanel Cristalle I could spray on all day, sleep in it, bathe in it.

This smelt nicer today for some reason. Really enjoyed wearing it. Very comforting x

SOTE is Dirty Milk from the sample in the CB edit. It’s a big no on me.

I mean im the opposite i have over 100 travel size and love most of them if not all but maybe I'm the unusual one.

Have you tried other citrus/fresh scents? Milk is quite woody on me, I generally prefer fresher perfumes.

It never fails to amaze me how much my tastes changes over time. Currently going through a Rose phase. I used to hate Rose! There's even been perfumes Ive absolutely hated at one point and then got into a while later. I tend to go through 'curious' phases.. Rose curious, freshy-curious, amber- curious etc. Sometimes I'll discover new loves, sometimes I'll move on. The nose is a strange thing!

I'm so happy with the HN calender. I actually prefer it to the Harrods calendar. I found new brands and scents that have become favourites and that i never would have thought to even test in a shop. Favourites include: Memo Madurai, Passionfroud, Debaser, Verticaloud, Sirene and Vanila powder. I also liked the car freshener and the candle. Still on the fence about Delina!

I only discovered scent edits and fragrance calendars a year ago and im so pleased! it's not the same as sprtizing in a shop ( as lovely as that is), a sample really gives it a proper test.

SOTD for my morning trip to the gym is Arizona Bloom from Floral Street.
Will pop something fancier on for when I go into work later

I'm a fan of FM acne studios as well. I also find it very comforting. Managed to get a couple on Vinted and happy with that :)

I also think it may be down to our hormones. There are some scents that haven't smelt great on me, and then a year later I suddenly like the smell on me. The nose is indeed strange.

That's completely normal - there are some fragrances I really don't like, either the notes or the strength or how it wears. I tend to prefer fragrances that are more subtle, I don't like it when you can smell someone's perfume from across the room, or after they've left the room! Is the milk fragrance the Commodity one? I really love it, but it's quite sweet and definitely not to everyone's taste. Cristalle is a classic, and perfect for Spring. I really dislike Angel by Mugler - my sister used to really overspray it to cover up the smell of cigarettes (didn't work!) so to me it's a migraine in a bottle.

Weird one for me, hate it initially and everytime I wear it I think “oh no, what have I done”……. But then it develops and I love it

I really need to start using up my dabbers, they are cute but just take up space. SOTD is the Juicy dabber from the PS advent. I was happy with the advent as I used the male scents in crackers for DH and our sons. The box is great and has been really useful. Probably give it a miss this year though

I have bought another one off ebay, still loads on there. I'll keep a few definitely the 2 fragrance du boise and some others.

Trying Musk Latte this eve from the Kayali Freedom sampler set I got. I need to give it chance to settle but first impression is giving me perfume Grandma bought me from Avon when I was 10 vibes.

Not what I expected. Thought I'd like this but not keen so far.

Stiil got Bouquet, Santal and Matcha to try out.

Kayali has really gone downhill in my opinion. I still count cafe oud as one of the worst things ever to touch my skin, or was it tobacco oud? They were both bloody awful.

Oh my god I really have morphed into a rose fan after many years of not really liking rose. Faves are scherzo and elie saab elixir love, plus of course Delina/Exclusif. Enjoyed my sample of Memo Odeon a lot too.
Also on my list to try is Crivelli Rose Saltifolia

I quite liked the Oud set but not this one so far. Maybe the others will be better.

Glossier have a new scent out. Could be nice but I'll have to try and sniff in store.

Glossier You Soie (2026) is a new fragrance in the Glossier You line, described as a fresh, watery, and creamy scent. It features top notes of bergamot, a middle heart of rice milk, tiare water, and evening jasmine, and a warm, musky base of ambrox. That new glossier scent sounds like Alto Astral , although I bet its not quite as good. I find the glossier scents ok but not amazing. A bit weak, maybe a good thing for office days.

@IDontHateRainbows agree Glossier scents don't have a lot of power. I liked the fig more when I went back to it recently. Not inspired to get more though.
