Brand new sparkling and scented thread to take us through the excitement of the October Beauty Drop box and The Advent Calendar. 🎄⛄🎅💄

The scheme seems to be operating in an increasingly bizarre way! I would be gutted and huffy if it impacted me.

Ive cancelled my membership now. I'll be saving the money in a regular savings account. It means im free to buy liberty, Harvey nicks, or any of the others come advent season.

@Skibunnygal i think I’ll have to follow your lead on this. Vinted or EBay was a very good suggestion!!

Quite often people will add things into boxes when selling them on ebay so you might get the intended contents + bonus items!

I was very taken with one of the boxes a while back & picked up a second one on ebay. But I've become more disappointed with the contents of recent boxes as im just not sophisticated enough for the perfumes they include!! They all seem to smell awful on me. I have the liberty advent calendar this year and im aware it has a few perfumes in there, so I actually bought the glam kit, to substitute any perfumes I don't like!!

I’d happily buy Liberty Perfumes off people who don’t like them. My DD loves the Boemia we got last year some time, and the most recent perfumes suited her too-quite androgynous and heavy.

I finally got my BD box. I quite like the bag but not so keen on the purple fragrance so sold it on Vinted.

How much did you sell the fragrance for? I'm thinking of selling mine. I like it but it lasts like 2 mins on me and then I can't smell it anymore 😡

Have you tried any of the other products yet? I got the AB retinol serum in the Harrods 2024 calendar so I liked that and put it straight to use 😊 I luckily got 2 of the Sisley face masks and I love it 🥰 in fact, I'm going to use it tonight. I wasn't a fan of the Liberty fragrance. That's gone into the perfumes sample box but I can't imagine ever wearing it. If anyone wants it, send me your address and I'll pop it in the post. I've yet to try the cleanser. I didn't like the bag, so I've given it away 😊

I listed it for £8.50 and it sold within a few hours.

I really like the Sisley cream. I have tried it before as I got it in a beauty box last year. I also got the AB serum in the Harrods calendar so was happy to see a little tube of that in there. Not tried the cleanser yet but it looks good.

I might sell it then. I don't think I'll wear it so someone else might as well try it 😊

Neither of the perfumes in this BD box for me, so I will have to try Vinted too.

Just ‘unboxed’ my advent calendar ready for tomorrow morning. So excited! Is there a Liberty Advent thread or do we use this one? I can’t recall what we did last year.

The new fragrance boxes are poor value compared to normal.

Aimed at the Xmas pressie market and not Beauty Drop regulars I assume. 😃

What a poor deal. I am all over fragrance kits but this is not worth it. There will probably be a new kit out in spring. Advent C has 7 i think.

Agree - the beauty lounge edit in previous years was great value - this doesn’t seem as good as the recent scent kit

Seem crazy over priced especially as they are in a box not a nice bag. Not tempted as have loads.

Hi all, I have been lurking since the previous thread, I finally decided to sign up on 17th of October but I never received a box since. I assumed I didn't make the cutoff date for the October box but I see others didn't receive their boxes either? Its not very clear what I the cut off date is.

The new Liberty scent edits really don't seem like great value do they?

You should have received it whenever you signed up. Contact their concierge and they'll post you one

I'm curious, how do people generally find Liberty online ordering? I signed up for the beauty drop and bought the Glam Kit; the beauty drop arrived eventually (after a couple of weeks, not a problem). The first Glam Kit went missing so I called and they sent a replacement, I then changed my mind on it by the time I received it so returned it via DPD. I've just had to call them over 2 weeks after it arrived as no refund was issued, to be told they processed a replacement for my return on 31st October... For the item their warehouse received in return on 27th November 🤷🏻‍♀️ After arguing that the dates don't add up, my refund is now apparently being processed but I'm surprised at how much I've had to go out of my way to get around their systems.

The whole thing is baffling to me, I've always thought of Liberty as a prestige brand but their choice of delivery partner (amazon logistics) and their lack of communication has left a lot to be desired. Maybe I'm just being whingey 😅
