The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Astley Clarke is pretty tho!

Any calendar with a scrunchie in is a no buy now from me. It's not a treat or self care thing, it's a utility item. You might as well put some cotton buds in or a shower cap. No thanks!

Astley Clarke is a nice calendar. Not sure I'm tempted though.

I feel Glamour were trying to produce a budget Vogue calendar. I like the idea but sadly they didn't pull it off

H&B did put ear buds in theirs one year, (albeit reusable) - went straight in the bin!

I've looked at a few jewellery calendars now and the AC's with some in.

I like them but they are on the expensive side and I always come back to, are these all pieces I would choose if shopping for jewellery? Bar the odd item the answer is always no. So I think they would have to be heavily discounted for me to consider one or a rare fluke where I adore everything in it.

I probably should apply this principle with BAC's but find it harder to do. 😄

I'm not impressed. I guess I'm getting harder to please these days, but there's been some utter rubbish this year. It's not a bad thing as I needed reigning in!

This put me off the H&B advent for years only to really like it last year...

This could be a new customer thing as the discount disappears when logged into an existing account and won't reapply.

Got my Liberty BAC, the bag is huge.
All the contents are in order.
I think this years Liberty is even better than last year!
Its now put away till December

I resisted the On my cream calendar, but couldn’t resist the Korres calendar. I bought it from Beauty Flash and got a 10% introductory discount so I’m very pleased.

The Korres calendar is gorgeous. I also love the Oh my cream advent vanity case and contents. Managing to resist so far - but it’s payday next week so who knows. (Admission- I have far too much already).

Just noticed that The French Pharmacy beauty advent calendar is now available for £195.

Sorry, I should have mentioned the price! The Korres calendar was £90, and I got 10% off thst for my first order. I’ve not heard of Beauty Flash before but their reviews looked good. I had an email from Korres a few days ago to say that the calendar was available but I’ve not been able to find it on the uk website.

I keep seeing the advert for the PDM advent calendar, oh it is beautiful 😍 I'm so tempted! Need to stay strong 🤣

H&B was the first advent calendar I bought, think it was 5 years ago now and the reusable bud was in it. I was a bit confused on opening and was going to chuck it but didn't and started using it, was so surprised at how useful it was. I've used it so much over the years. It's brilliant for cleaning ears as its textured and use it for lots of other things too so im glad I didnt chuck it.

Im really tempted by the korres advent, I really like their products, but I already have two 🙈 . I think if it had an eau de parfum in it I'd definitely jump. I love aegean bronze.

I love Korres, but I'm struggling to see the sizes of the products anywhere and would like to know before I buy. Did you find them anywhere? I know there's a picture of the back of the box, but the detail is too fine / blurry to see.

I also can't work out what the rolled up thing at the front of the AC contents picture is meant to be.

Seems we are in a bit of a lull now with Advent calendars, most of the big names having released and a few of the later ones not releasing until next month.

Thoroughly enjoyed myself so far, holding out for Fenwick, HN frag and Space nk frag and i think that's it!

Yes it does seem to have quietened down now! I may get HN fragrance, and I’m waiting to see what is in the Jarrold’s calendar. I’ve not seen a calendar from L’artisan parfumeur yet this year, or Maison Margiela, but I think I’ve more than spent what I can afford this year already. I’ve got last year’s L’artisan parfumeur, Harrods fragrance, Liberty, PDM, and now Korres, and the flannels fragrance cracker. And my husband has ordered me the F&M for my birthday and Christmas present. I also bought the main HN and have sold about 2/3 of it, and I put the items I wanted to keep into random drawers in my Liberty calendar. I’m still lusting after the Liberty men’s calendar but I know I’ve got far more stuff now than I can ever use. 😆

Why isn't it on the UK Korres site, I wonder? I had signed up to their emails but didn't get that one @Growlybear83 - saw it was out from this thread, then went to look, searched the UK site and nothing. Are they only selling it through third parties here?

Ooh that’s quite a comprehensive luxe haul - what’s your thoughts on boxes and quality and packaging between them?
