The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Thanks for the Stylevana info @OvaHere - I like the idea of Korean skincare but often have no clue what specific items are for/how to use them.

I have some unused atm and must have a go, plus the little case of goodies put away for Xmas.

Was it the Yepoda that had a list of instructions? That calendar would have been mine for this year if it had just had one or two make up items.

I got it last year, it was gorgeous and wide range of stuff it in. Will probably blind buy it this year and try actually keeping it for December 🤞🤞

@Georgieporgie29 did you checkout with the 10%? I’m still mulling over whether to get the 12 day or blind buy a small Bomba and a couple of other bits and see if I can get the GWP. I’m going to check it out on Fragrantica but it does sound like my sort of thing.

I keep going back to look at the Flannels Frag box but I only really want Kilian. I certainly don’t want any more Moncler.

Ohh, I did not realised there was a sneak peak, shoud I have a nosey or not thats the question lol I bought it on 3rd of October last year and they had fab GWP with it so fingers crossed its the same this year 🤞🤞

I diverted my attention to concert bookings.

I managed to get the Space NK calendar, thanks to the PP who mentioned the influencers early access links. SNK didn’t send me an email for some reason.
It actually looks like they don’t go on general sale until tomorrow.
It looks like my AC will arrive today, super quick!

My SpaceNk one arrived a few hours ago. For anyone on the fence, I've done the quality check of each box/day (learned the hard way one year finding missing items and broken ones come December), and every item is as per all the promos - those that said full size or multiples in door are just that - no bait and switches like sometimes happens (when they show a 50ml but really send a 5ml sample size).
It is now stored with the other two. Closer to December I reduce to the nicest looking exterior box and try to fit the items from other boxes in it, and anything that is a dupe/I have/not for me, I make up a Christmas box for my friend and her two daughters which also includes any other bits from beauty boxes/edits throughout the year - the one year I didn't do it as I thought it seemed cheap to hand off stuff, they were disappointed as they said they
look forward to my 'destash' each year

I've signed up for the Fenwick rewards. Hoping it may be useful for the AC.

BAC's only came on my radar last year when my DSis gifted me the F&M one - which I loved. I've purchased the Liberty one this year - still packed up and under the bed (I'm another who likes to open all the drawers in December without peeking).

I think I'm going to get the Fenwick one and then that will be me done. If I'm very lucky I may get the F&M one again from DSis.

If anyone is planning on buying the Harvey Nicks beauty calendar, there's 5% cashback on it via Top Cashback, it says it's for today only.

Its Gift With Purchase. It contained some Sunday Riley bits, cleansing balm some other things that I cannot remember now.
I will try and not look at the sneak peaks, that would be a first lol

I've bought H&B for me, Paxton and Whitfield for DH and am looking for one for DD - she likes bath stuff so Rituals used to be good, but £105 is very poor value. I'm on the email list for Cowshed, hoping that will be better.

The Mintd calendars have 10% off for a limited time with code ADVENT10.

They are barely calendars as I think they are only about 6 days but I know they had AoS products some people were interested in.

Degustabox are only doing their regular calendar this year; my daughter had been hoping to get their international one this time.

Thanks for the new thread. My LF fragrance arrived on Monday, had been checked for me by DP and is now stashed away until December.

I’ll probably just get an edit or two between now and Christmas, but not adverse to another calendar if there are some offers come November. Looking forward to seeing what calendars everyone else gets though!

That’s great, I bought La Bomba and added a Luckycharms discovery set that I wanted to try to bring me up to the spend. Got the GWP, 3 perfume samples and a free Good Girl liquid blush so I’m happy with that. I’ve got a lot of the perfumes in the AC already so I fancied trying the new one. I had the 12 day AC a couple of years ago and it was really lovely and beautifully packaged.

My Selfridges fragrance wardrobe has just arrived safely. I opened it to make sure that nothing was damaged and have now put it away as a birthday present to myself in early December. I think it’s very good value. 😊
