The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

@NeitherStylishnorBeautiful Glamour magazine announced their first one a couple of weeks ago but it's not been revealed yet. I think it will be under £200. Probably in the £120-150 range.

I think we are collectively hoping as it's their first they will have made a big effort but who knows? Might be all Elasticizer and Bum Bum cream.

Brown Thomas is out on pre order, its €325 think it was €300 last year 🤔 also GWP is not applicable with BAC so its a pass for me 🙄 Perhaps I am slightly BACed out 😂

The fomo kicked in and I couldn’t resist! Ordered the Brown Thomas one for my mum. She’s pretty obsessed with hair products so I hope she likes it!! Which one have you gone for?

I got a few, too embarrassed to say how many 😬 , but they all have been opened already, I am only interested in skincare and fragrances really so the rest of the stuff is being offloaded on Vinted 🙈

I deliberately not looked at the contents of Brown Thomas as I was hoping to get it for December, but with no GWP and price increase its a no for now.
Might have to consider John Lewis for December as I already forgot what’s in it

I like that you’ve forgotten the contents of some of them so it’s a little surprise all over again when you get it in Dec lol!

I love Elasticizer and Bum Bum cream is great for DD’s Christmas stocking.
I’ve now got the John Lewis app so I can hopefully get early access to the AC. I also got a free coffee and (extremely delicious) cake as my first reward when I visited JL on Sunday.

I’m hoping so! They did a 12 day last year as far as I remember.

Yes and I think it was released Oct/Nov. There's no spoilers or waitlist, that I can find.

It just says 'coming soon' for me. "Purchased over 148 times in last 24 hours". I think I've missed out again...

The Guerlain BAC is beautiful & one day I'm treating myself to it!

Pre kids I used to buy all my Guerlain from the counter in Debenhams & the counter manager was lovely & always gave me loads of freebies & samples.
However even if I wasn't buying anything & just passing through she'd call me over & I'd come away with a handful of samples.
Think my purse was her favourite customer.

I loved their Midnight Secret Cream & the Les Meteorites powder balls.

Post kids the only Guerlain I can afford buy now is Les Meteorites

That sold out quickly! Hopefully they get another restock in

Jo Malone is really pushing out the Wood Sage and Sea Salt this year. Brown Thomas is the third calendar I’ve seen it in.

Talking of TKMaxx bargain advents my Armani one arrive this aft. It's lovely, very sturdy drawers and everything wrapped in tissue. Can't decide whether to take everything out or unbox properly in Dec along with my other two.

I’ve been following this thread (thanks for all that share and post - it’s really helpful) and I think was just curious if most people open these everyday in December as an advent calendar or whether some open and decant an AC to make gifts for a few people? I’m tempted to do the latter (I’ve two adult daughters), but I’m also a sucker for a beauty product for myself too 🤣🫣

I do both! I open it for myself, but anything I am not keen on goes into the Christmas stockings for my mum, sisters, nieces etc. I have a lot of stuff from edits and beauty drop so the haul can be really good.

@RainbowZebraWarrior - I love the yellow Bum Bum cream so you’re not alone! It smells lovely and is so soft. I first got a huge tub of it in a calendar years ago and gave it away as I didn’t like the name! I can’t believe I was so stupid.

Weirdly, I can’t stand the smell of the matching perfume as it smells like food to me! I do like the pink spray, but to me, the Aldi dupe smells identical, so I have that instead.y
