The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

I think the Boots premium at £150 looks pretty good - it’s out now.

Clarins 12 day a/c is out now, but I am not sure if they are doing a 24 one this year.

Last years Clarins 12 Day is £95 on the Jarrolds site. What looks like loads of last years Clarins xmas sets are reduced too.

Actually maybe I'm wrong about that and that's just the normal price but they've made it look like it's a sale item. That could be this years BAC.

That one looks nice. A whole calendar of stuff I would actually use.

I think last year’s Clarins were shaped like houses @OvaHere They seem to have the pretty much same stuff in every year.

I got a 12 day two years ago - it was ok as it was heavily reduced.

@ajandjjmum I had both SPK and CB delivered to me when I lived in Australia. They are pricier ones tho

Just purchased the boots 24 days of skin as I've run out of everything and it just made sense - going to empty it and treat like a beauty box then I'll put the empty box outside for sometime to take and use

Also purchased the men's health grooming edit from boots which seemed excellent value and will do for one of DH's Xmas gifts ..

I got the scrub, think it’s just the wrong heading! My box arrived in one piece earlier in the week and it’s great. I also contacted them about the wrong size and they were really good, sent me a voucher so no complaints!! Now just waiting for the Advent next week and that is it, no more spending on beauty!!

Ive just seen the full Glamour contents, and am very disappointed. Like others, I expected that they would go all out for their first offering.

The horrible hot pink leopard print make up bag, the bright blue crimped scrunchie, a bloody phone charm! Rubbish.

I just saw the email. There's some things in it I really like but there's also a high proportion of completely useless (to me) stuff. I like that they've put a good amount of jewellery in there, that's a bit different but spoilt by an abundance of tools and scrunchies etc. I'm not fussed by most of the skincare either. I do like the palette colours.

Can anyone explain what an Ear Seed Kit is? I have no idea.

Okay I googled. They are some sort of acupressure thing for relaxation.

Thanks for the link @OvaHere it has quite a few things in that haven't been in other calendars which is nice to see 😊 it's not for me but I think it offers a great mix, especially with the jewellery.

I'm quite tempted by the Glamour. I need to sit and actually look at the skincare but I do really like the hoops, the bracelet and the claw clip. The palette looks good and I love the Rodial blush drops but don't have that shade. The skincare looks disappointing at first glance, but brands don't really matter for retinol and vitamin C, and it's got a Shiseido product.

If it was around the £120 mark I might have gone for it for the jewellery and palette and wrote off the other stuff.

They sent me a new customer code WELCOME15 for 15% off but I don't know if it applies with the calendar.

I went and tried the code. Unsurprisingly it doesn't work on the AC.

Can anyone who has already bought one tell me how robust the boxes are in the Look Fantastic advent calendar? I'm looking for one with good stuff but also reusable for storing Christmas decs (have done this with the Sephora one in the past, which was super strong)

I was expecting it to be between £90 and £130, to be in line with like look fantastic, elle mag etc. I'm waiting on the Harvey Nicks fragrance calendar so I'm trying so hard to not give into temptation. I do keep buying bits on vinted though 🙈 My Frankenstein calendar is going to be bursting by December 🤣
