The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Oh, my Space NK arrived this evening. I only ordered it yesterday.
Very happy with the contents, and the box is cute but the drawers are flimsy like last years, which is a shame

Hello everyone, this new thread filled up quick!

Mac have released details of their calendar. They don’t seem to have much else this year unless it’s too early. I bought the Lip Vault last year which was in just the right shade for me. It came in a lovely box which still looks good.

Im so glad the FP isn't as good as last year now that I have finally settled on one and bought it. I really don't want to have FOMO and cant afford another one!

I can’t see this online - could you please tell us how much the Liberty truffle calendar is? I might go in and get it. If you’re happy to share, I would love a photo too.

I’ve just seen the gorgeous Diptyque calendar. I can in no way justify it but it’s the dream calendar for me. Maybe next year if I budget for it…

That Diptyque AC is beautiful but out of my budget this year.

So when do we think Marks and Spencer will do their reveal. I know they have given a few tasters but I need a few things from there and wondering if I should hang on to buy them now or wait for advent. I am also sitting on a £5 gift voucher which I was going to use against it (or not)
Still waiting on wether Latest in Beauty will do anything they have been very quiet so thinking probably not. Shame as I bought last year's at a knockdown tiktok price and although initially underwhelmed I have used loads from this advent
Depending on the above I think I am done with Glossybox and Spacenk ( and Harrods Fragrance) unless there is some amazing deals ( I may be tempted by Elle if it goes under £100 and possibly You Beauty as I love the box) but happy with my lot otherwise . Is everyone else pretty much done or decided

I think the Diptyque calendar looks lovely as always, but it always has too many candles for me - I’ve got a big drawer full of candles from advent calendars going back five years now 😆. I always think it’s a bit stingy not to have one larger bottle of fragrance.

@Growlybear83 I agree for that money I would rather just choose my own fragrance and get a decent size. The box does look amazing quality though and thinking about the Spacenk comments I do think a lot of people value a decent well made solid box

Yes it does look a very sturdy box compared with most others.

@BakeOffRewatch here you go, it is £34.95 and I love the fact that it has the same image as the advent calendar.

@Twinsandsome have you had any updates? It’s a week tomorrow since I replied to their email 🙄 wonder if I should follow up, at the same time I don’t want to rock the boat any further and still hoping for the best 🙈

@HolaLolla i was going to ask you the same thing! I am getting nervous now that they are going to forward on and others sell out in the meantime. I don’t have any others yet because I really wanted Harrods when I went through them all. When you look your order number up what does it say I will try and get a screenshot of mines it doesn’t say anything really xx

It just says preparing for shipping, tracking number impending. Has been the same since I bought it. At this point I think I just want my money back, incase Brown Thomas is released soon. I really only wanted few things from Harrods so will just have to source them on Vinted.

@HolaLolla oh I’ve seen a few mention the brown Thomas so maybe I will look into that one do you know when they normally release? Yes I think I maybe need to email them to find out one way or another if I’m getting it or not to then look at another as I just love advent calendars 🫣 let me know if you hear anything from them x

I agree. It looks stunning in the photo, but for £400 I'd want a big bottle of fragrance. I'm not going for it this year as the candles aren't necessarily my favourites, and lovely teen DD will buy me a big Diptyque seasonal candle anyway. Which reminds me, I shall get last years out and burn that throughout November.

@Puravida23I am also waiting for the M&S reveal. I have bought their advent calendar for the past few years but like many others, was a bit disappointed last year.

I do wonder if M&S are leaving it a bit late. Website says launching Oct 9th which is fine but still very little info. When everyone else seems to have already launched or at least revealed contents. Hmmm.

I have already received my Boots No7 calendar bought for £50 with the £10 off deal. And was able to buy it using my Advantage Card points. Win win.

Has anyone looked at the Nuxe calendar? I got one last year as I do like a lot of their products. But it seems heavy on their Very Rose range which is my least favourite. And at £115, it might not be worth the risk this year.

The little bottles last me ages - I actually quite like it not having one as you run the risk of it being one you're not keen on! I've sent the link to DH in a pathetic way.

I got mine on the 3rd of October last year, not sure how long it has been available for sale at that point. Signed up to be notified this year, fingers crossed its soon, although ideally I would like to have my Harrods refund before BT releases 🙈
