I called customer service to ask when the sale would be available for the rest of Europe; they said that it was only available for the UK and US.

I'm disappointed...

Thank you @faustina . I've only bought the denim half placket smock. I bought it in the last sale but wasn't sure so sent it back. I've regretted ever since, so I was really pleased to see it reappear.

The reviews for some items is missing, which is making it hard to make a decision on sizing!

I played with it a bit and find that ‘true fit’ just tells you to buy the same size as the thing of the other brand that it asked you to enter. Useless.

No sale showing up for me, (Scotland) - if I search ‘sale’ I get ‘no items found’.

Its fine though, I need to be thinning my Toast collection, not buying more!

Couple of items on my wish list appeared - the grey Lyocell Linen dress that @mizu mentioned recently. I wear the green one often.

Also trying the checked linen patch pocket trousers - I am always drawn to variations of these trousers...but then end up returning them. Giving them another go.

I can see it, in Scotland, so might be worth a quick restart device or logout/in again. Just in case you're being stoic :)

Thanks @Stravaig - Well that didn’t take long. The sale appeared for me and I caved - there were some very good prices this time.

I got the striped boxy t shirt, the poplin apron dress in navy, the chambray lounge shirt and the check linen smock top (which is nothing like a smock).

Very pleased to see I still appear to have my Kindred membership, despite not having bought anything for over a year!

I have ordered the FM sandals that I tried on in-store in summer. I tried the red as indigo not in stock, but hopefully these ones will fit as well.

Also ordered the Novestas in two different sizes, although why I just can’t accept they don’t fit, I will never know!

I got the slate vest in the Llandeilo sample sale in S - amazingly it fitted! I have ordered the brown version in M in case they have played with the sizing.

Also trying a pair of trousers - I really need to give up on Toast trousers; it never goes well!

I only read the thread a few minutes ago, so I suspect lots was sold out by the time I logged onto Toast, but there was quite a lot of stuff there, I thought. No homeware to speak of, though.

Did you see the new Christmas decorations in home @IlovePond ? I thought of you when I saw them.

It is SO frustrating that they have removed garment measurements for some items. I'm between sizes for trousers and without knowing the waist measurement I'm lost.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - those decorations are so pretty! I love the bird bauble - I shall be stalking that in the next sale!

I’ve said it before - but those crinkle cotton dresses at £30 are beautiful. I have both and paid £60 for each. It’s very annoying that they have been reduced further.

It’s a mystery to me why no one except me seems to like them!

On the face of it, it seems like entirely the wrong thing for a 5’2” 50-something with a bust and a menopausal tummy. But I tried it on a few weeks ago and can’t get it out of my head. I would normally be a M in a dress and that did fit, but was a little too figure hugging in places (it’s not very fitted, but my belly really is very menopausal!). The L though looked good over a neat jumper (like it is styled on the website) or with a loose jumper over it so it looks like a skirt. I wonder if it is a totally impractical buy though and if I wouldn’t get much wear out of it in reality. Anyone else got/tried it and have thoughts about styling it? Thanks.

@IlovePond - do you wear them on own or over a tee?

@IlovePond the colours of the one at £30 aren’t for me, but I did look at the black version. I really can’t wear anything that strappy though due to bra requirements, but I have wondered how it would look with a tee underneath.

Mmm- interesting question @ScottishMouse and @Stoic123 - the bodice is quite form fitting on the orange and dark green - at least on me! Assuming the black is the same, you would probably have to size up, but how that would work/balance with the skirt part of the dress, I don’t know.

What I do with the green and orange ones is I either wear a short sleeveless boxy Toast tee over the top or my lacy mini poncho/shawl thingy that has finally found a use or I go bra-less, depending on the heat/where I am going.

Given the size of my chest area nowadays, it’s testimony to the quality/thickness/supportiveness of the bodice that it doesn’t look completely ridiculous without a bra.

I love those dresses so much. If the black one wasn’t still £90, I would get that one too! I think they are my favourite/best Toast purchases apart from a couple of my jumpers and, of course, the Pond 😹

Maybe you’ll have to change your name @IlovePond! though ilovetieredcrinklecottongauze doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.
I think it’s probably not for me, and I am also trying hard not to buy out of season after a realisation in the last couple of sales that that just doesn’t work for me.

I agree about the out of season - I took the green trapeze dress out of my basket for that reason. I kept the FM sandals and linen trousers in, though!

The FM sandals are the first thing since the Pond dress that I have been actively stalking, waiting for them to come on sale.

I find this annoying and patronising @AmethystMoonShine, and the tickings off in the reviews in response to people explaining that items hadn’t fitted- eg ‘we provide all the measurements blah blah blah’. Even with measurements it can be hard to know what it’s going to look and feel like on. Sometimes you need to try two sizes and I find customers’ comments on sizing helpful! Anyway half the measurements are missing from the sale.
