Predictions for sale….?

I predict afternoon/evening of Thursday 25th @MiracleToast based on last year.

Pending item from my order last week has been dispatched, no sign of a kindred gift with it.

I thought it was the end of August last year, not September? My Wishlist has reappeared too!

@PeonyBlush10 - I would love you to report back if you decide to buy that jacket - it looks beautiful!

A small recommendation for the Doherty coat from Plumo which is proving brilliant for the past few very rainy days. I have worn it so much!

I wonder if kindred gift will wait until after sale as well.. although it does seem to have been quite a long time since the last…

I think someone was told at the sample sale that the gift would be September?

@faustina I have an email from sept 26th last year announcing the fading summer sale, I don’t seem to have anything from August though. I didn’t buy anything in that sale though, which is unusual, so i suspect it was just the dregs of the summer sale that I had already looked at eleventy billion times at that stage.

Has anyone got the Blundstone mules? There were olive green ones last year and this year’s are dark brown. I just bought them on a whim in store this morning. I have very tricky feet and their boots work well for me, but I am not totally sure about a mule, as I often find them tricky to keep on. I will try with thicker socks around the house and see. They are also one of those things that I can’t decide if they look good or are super ugly 🤣

I thought they were ugly, but cool at the same time. But, I couldn't get past them looking like my gardening clogs, so I sent them back.

About the potential ugliness @faustina, or the being hard to keep on?
Yes, I can see how they look like gardening clogs @CatAsstrophe. I have so many foot issues that make shoe shopping such a stress, so sometimes I have to choose ugly yet comfortable.

My Wishlist is back too - just edited it in preparation for any sale that might be forthcoming. However, I suspect the fading summer sale won't have much to tempt me. I am hoping it's the 24th onwards as I am away for a week prior to that.

I feel your pain re: foot issues! I have to be so careful with shoes, boots and slippers. Comfort is always my primary focus, but it helps that I like 'ugly' footwear 😃

@ScottishMouse I have a pair of the olive clogs and absolutely love them. So comfortable, and I don’t see them as ugly at all 🤷‍♀️ Really good with some socks, and they do tend to stay on my feet when walking too.

Hi, yes - that was me @faustina and she said it was a ‘good one’. It’s possible that Toast have changed their minds/she got it wrong.

Shame, as usually there is a gift in the summer, so they are overdue!

I just sent back the olive ones as they were too big. I’m hoping the 5 will come back into stock and I can try them. I really like them and think they look great with jeans and will be really useful. Haven’t seen the brown in the flesh yet. How did you find the sizing?

They run a little big, as I think is usual with Blundstone @MiracleToast. But that suits me as I am a 5.5.

@MrsCat1 nice that you popped back to the thread- I’m a bit of a feast or famine poster on the thread, just lots going on in real life that has been so enormous that it’s even diverted my attention from Toast!!

Nothing has majorly grabbed my attention from the new season stuff, I would like to call into an actual shop at some point and try things on. I did call in to one last week (I shan’t name where as there are probably Toast employees on here) and was majorly pissed off because there happened to be a family in that were buying quite a few items and so I felt treated as an annoyance because I asked to look at a couple of things. I went into the changing room and stuck my head out to ask for a different size but I was ignored as both of the members of staff by the changing room were fawning over the woman buying quite a few items. I know I’m not a big spender in Toast but it still pissed me off. Annoyingly it’s one of the more regular stores I go to but I think I’ll give it a wide berth for a while!

Anyway, got that one off my chest, now to have a look for any potential sale purchases….!

Oh my goodness, I have never seen pedants corner. I think I belong there! But I would likely get kicked out for correcting the commenter there - the use of draw for drawer is not a grammatical error but a lexical error surely!

I love this @ScottishMouse , you need to get onto Pedants’ Corner and shame them all with your linguistic knowledge! I don’t even know how I found it as I come onto Mumsnet pretty much solely for the Toast threads.
