Cut and paste from their neat cardigan. Can't buy it now can I?

Oh...why did my paste not work?

Anyway it says

"Always fold your knitwear, as hanging can stretch and pull the garment, and cause holes in the shoulders. Draw liners can also help to deter moths."

Oh dear!

It is the one grammatical error that is guaranteed to set my teeth on edge. That and noone.

I would be inclined to screenshot and email them. That’s embarrassing.

Noooooo. Just no.

I remember in the very early days of online shopping I emailed a company to point out some terrible error they’d made - and they did actually respond to thank me.

If I bothered with that nowadays I would have no time for the rest of my life.

It used to make me think badly of the perpetrator; now I try to remember that the retailer probably has very little contact or relationship with their own website.

One of the full-screen adverts on my old Kindle had the 'L' missing from 'triple'. I think the advertiser was L'Oréal. I emailed them and the advert vanished, but I didn't even get a voucher for shampoo, with or without tripe!

There was a huge banner on the fence of a new housing development up the road from me that wound me up every time I saw it, so I emailed to ask them to move the apostrophe in Badger's Rest to Badgers' Rest, on the grounds that it's likely there was more than one badger.
I never got a reply, but when the road sign went up they had changed it to Badgers Rest, no apostrophe😭. So now whenever I see it I find myself thinking Yes, doubtless they do!

This arrived in my inbox recently. It’s making me quite unhappy:

London, we made it! After four long days of packed buses, WFH, and questionable bike routes, the tube strike is finally over.

When it comes to dumbing down, at least you don't work in a university (ffs) where the marketing department's shiny new website announces that one of their teams exists to "support the universities recruitment efforts . . . ".

After renovation, the main library in this city had a whole bunch of signs made, directing patrons to the different sections: History, Poetry, Health, etc.

There was, I'm pleased to say, a virtual storm of outrage about the sign for the Tecknology section.

It's not a grammatical error, it's a spelling mistake.

@SpecialMilkMonitor I applaud your approach and wish I could emulate it.
