Sainsbury’s jeans 😲

My mate was wearing a lovely pair of barrel leg jeans so I asked her where she got them. Sainsbury’s, she says, £22. So I went and got some for myself. First day out in them today and another woman asked where I got them, said they looked really nice on. And I wore them all day and they’re the same size now as when I put them on (marginally more relaxed but they haven’t grown a couple of sizes like jeans sometimes do).

Very impressed. When did this happen to Sainsbury’s? Are there other gems in the Tu department that I should look out for??

Thanks to this thread I now have 4 pairs of jeans…my only miss was the straight leg leopard ones but at 6 quid I don’t mind donating them to the charity shop! The others (sparkly black barrel legs, high waisted flares and skinnies) are all great. And I only paid 35 quid for the lot! I’m short and an exaggerated hourglass shape so really struggle with jeans, I’m impressed.

Our (not very local to me) Sainsburys clothes offering is nothing like as good as it was. Coupled with closing the changing rooms, I won't be looking for clothes there. I hate online clothes shopping.

However, on the back of this thread I went to M and S yesterday and bought these jeans, which are a perfect fit on me.

But there is a label saying due to dark colour keep away from light upholstery or clothes as could stain ?

Has anyone had them stain ? I’d wash them first before wearing .

Labels always say that.

That’s what I thought . I’ve never had an issue and always give them a quick wash first anyway .

I bought the loose fit and took them back. As a pear shape the barrel coming from the hip was not flattering. I think if you have long legs they'll look much better.

All dark denim has the potential to rub off dye on anything that it comes into contact with, bags, upholstery, inside of coats.... always has and they are just making sure that nobody comes back with an issue. Many a light coloured bag appears to be dirty, but it is often 'jean rub'!

Finally went and picked mine up today, love them.

Got the dark denim in 16L, they're true to size on me- slightly more cropped than on the website but I am very long of leg so that was expected. They look great with ankle boots.

Now debating the leopard print ones!

I bought some jeans in Asda today. £12.50. No changing room of course but I thought to try them in the loo. I spoke to a staff member she agreed and said she went shopping and the only store with a changing room was M&S. I've only got straight and skinny jeans and now I'm wondering if I should try different styles? Don't like boot cut though. Is it certain sizes and shapes that suit particular styles?

Picked mine up today and I do like them but they are going to take some careful styling on me to avoid looking like a massive toddler. They suit me best with a fitted t-shirt tucked in so I'll probably keep them till warmer weather. It's nice to try a different fit though and they do feel lovely quality

I had a look at these today, not keen on the diagonal seam by the knee area. They had dark wash in size 10 and khaki in all sizes.

You need to try Adsa's Wonderfit jeans. Now, they are a revelation!! Although, I am currently wearing a pair of Sainsburys bootcuts!

Picked up mine today. I looked awful in them! 10r too big and 10s too short. And they made me look absolutely huge.

otoh the wide-legged ones dark wash were quite good. Acres of material behind the thighs though.

Everyone seems to be a size 10!

I'm 5'4" and a 14/16 with hips. I'm assuming they'd be ridiculous on me but can't help but want to try given the love on this thread

Is there anyone my size and shape who's tried them or is the whole notion daft?

I still don't have mine -it'll be a week tomorrow since I ordered. Customer service chat keeps swearing blind they'll be there any minute...

What are you all wearing on your feet with these jeans? I bought some and think I like them, but none of my footwear looks right…

ive taken back the 10R dark ones and collected tne 8R the lighter colour . I think they would have fit but there’s too much fabric or maybe length for me from waistband to crotch. So they’ll be going back. Disappointing as basically they’d look great if they fit properly.

For me, trainers. Hi or low top. Nothing else looks right.

Same dress size and a cm taller but I am top heavy and have no waist, so I feel like these give the illusion of a more in-and-out shape and also some balance to my top half. But someone upthread said she liked them because they fit her well around her hips, she said she was a pear shape IIRC.
