Your trip sounds fab @Sooverthemill . Re your wishlist I am not sure if the items will be on sale as they are all (I think) reasonably new. But I may be wrong and if it is just 3 weeks or so probably worth waiting to see.

I also have the patchwork shirt on my list.

@ToastCosILoveIt nice to hear how you have been wearing your Toast clothes.

I rotate my clothes regularly so have my summer ones out now (somewhat optimistically!) Nice to be reaquainted with old friends. Today I am wearing the pale green canvas trousers from last year and an old Mul Mul shirt.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 03/06/2024 09:36

I have that dhal skirt as well @AvaGardens and @ToastCosILoveIt I’m ashamed to say I haven’t worn it. I’m not really a skirt person so I’ve struggled to know what to pair it with, which is silly as I’ve got loads of tees and shirts that I wear with trousers.

Sooverthemill · 03/06/2024 09:37

@MrsRadichio yes I know they are quite new but with the sale they often bring out previous iterations so happy to see

Countmeout · 03/06/2024 14:14

I think the trousers might go into the autumn sale @Sooverthemill .

Not sure I have a sale wish list other than the brown traded coat in a bigger size 😑.

I am in holiday. The poplin blue dress is great for a sunshine holiday although I seem to have lost control of my shoulders and the straps have slipped a few times. Maybe too relaxed 🤣

@ToastCosILoveIt what apron do you have? I’m definitely needing one but there isn’t much in the current season…

@FitzLea , I have 3 toast aprons: a slate coloured linen one with bib and crossover sleeves from about 12 years ago I would say. I also have two fab denim ones: a waist denim apron which feels very 'gastro pub waiter' style, and a denim bib apron which I bought for my son but which he doesn't wear do I do 😀. I love them all, got to keep stylish, even when cooking!

faustina · 03/06/2024 16:25

They look wonderful @Sooverthemill - I'm not sure there's anything I'm coveting at the moment (weather + quite a few things as yet unworn). I do like some of the bright blue pieces, so maybe one of them

Maybe if you ask your sister to sign up for Toast in the US they'll offer you her a discount?

FitzLea · 03/06/2024 17:19

Nice collection @ToastCosILoveIt…I’m quite keen on a linen one so will keep an eye out for one on the resale sites. Like how yours has lasted so long!

mizu · 04/06/2024 18:55

Kilver are doing another sample sale next Friday.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 05/06/2024 12:37

I visited the Toast store in Marlow this morning and asked about the timing of the next sale. They don't get told in advance but the lovely ladies said they have started to be asked to return some stock to the warehouse which usually means a sale is imminent. I think it was mid-June last year. I have a huge wish list waiting 😜

AFingerofFudge · 05/06/2024 18:12

Greetings all, I too am still lurking but feeling too fat to enter into any serious discussion on clothes (obvs will make an exception for the sale!)
@Snowyowl78 I absolutely love that jumpsuit!!

For any Cheltenham (or close) based Toasties: I was in Cheltenham today and made an effort to head to the Toast store and work has finally started on the shop!!!! Hopefully it won't be too long before it's open again 🥳

FitzLea · 05/06/2024 18:43

@Snowyowl78 I also think that jumpsuit lovely, but I also wonder what it might look like on a shorter person, especially considering it a mid-calf length on the model shown.

@ScottishMouse I immediately thought of the Le Bonne Shoppe gilets when I saw your links from the new drop.

ScottishMouse · 05/06/2024 19:02

Yes @FitzLea . I haven’t seen those in the flesh but it does look similar. I love the stitch on the toast one.
Also love the navy seersucker dress but wonder what the cut around the armhole would be like on an ample bust.
Interested to see if the blue check crinkle dress is the usual double layer crinkle fabric or more like the marmite dress & jumpsuit from last year that came tied up.
There are a few other things I like too. An unusual number for me in comparison to recent drops. Seeing as I sent back the too big and too small Alix that I ordered last week, I might see about trying a few of the new things. Though I need to keep some pennies for the sale too. Why do they tempt us so right before the sale??

ScottishMouse · 05/06/2024 22:21

Slightly unrelated, but maybe someone has experience. What happens if you sell something on vinted and it gets lost in transit? I sent a parcel last week but it has been showing as out for delivery for 5 days now. I’m fairly new to vinted though have sold on eBay for years. What I’m reading in my Vinted account seems to suggest I will only get £20 compensation. I sold two items in a bundle for £120, so I really hope that’s not the case. Does anyone know? Thanks.

Snowyowl78 · 06/06/2024 07:08

@ScottishMouse i haven’t had anything lost before but I have had to contact Inpost to move things along- is it Inpost or RM?

Countmeout · 06/06/2024 07:40

Not terribly inspired by anything new except maybe the crinkle dress.

Has the seller said not received @ScottishMouse ? I have no idea about Vinted either.

oddandelsewhere · 06/06/2024 08:14

@Countmeout I feel a bit the same about the new things, they are all nice enough but I don't feel that I NEED any of them except perhaps the crinkle dress. I've been wearing my 3 crinkle dresses on repeat because it's still so cold here (Welsh Marches) and they are a lot warmer than normal cotton or linen dresses.
I wonder if anyone is near a shop they might look to see if the fabric is the same weight as the other crinkle dresses? If it's a lighter weight I might not be so keen though the colour is lovely. Also haven't a clue about sizing as they are standard dress sizes not the usual S,M,L and there are no measurements on the website.

Countmeout · 06/06/2024 08:41

I have only the crinkle pinafore @oddandelsewhere but the dress is the same style as a cotton cashmere dress I have a few years so it appeals especially in the blue colour. If you click on sizing the bust measurements are given. I can guess from that but still might have to order 2 to decide the best fit when the time comes The only thing worrying me is some people mentioning shrinkage.

Thanks @Countmeout and @Snowyowl78 . Yes, buyer has been in touch to say not received yet, and it was sent through Inpost. I sent them a message yesterday but not heard back yet. Crossing my fingers because I do not want to lose £100!

Snowyowl78 · 06/06/2024 09:06

@ScottishMouse I have had it a few times when Inpost gets stuck in a loop just saying the same thing, and when you message them they normally sort it out.
also check this, you’re covered for more with Inpost than for Royal Mail:

Thanks so much for this link @Snowyowl78 inPost have asked me to raise the issue with Vinted, and they are saying I need to wait, so I will just wait and see and hope it shows up.
