My account isn't locked, I have a BD number and can spend it at check out.

+1

Just checked.

listsandbudgets · 07/03/2024 10:04

I've not had the email but I've logged into my account and as a precaution removed the stored card details and changed my date of birth so its a few days and a year out

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 07/03/2024 10:27

I didn’t get the email. But I just tried spending at checkout and it knocked me back — “this is not a valid loyalty voucher” or similar wording 😕

I’ve got £140 credit and was saving it to spend on my birthday 😞 Hope it’ll all be okay

Ihavethis2 · 07/03/2024 11:46

I’m beginning to regret signing up to this scheme now 😢. I only joined a few months ago but feeling worried now. I may buy something after Aprils box & unsubscribe

listsandbudgets · 07/03/2024 12:34

@LemonJuiceFromConcentrate Email customer services, tell them you can't spend your credit and ask them to swap it for a gift voucher - it's a bit of an extra faff but at least that way you can spend it

Thanks so much for the update, @Beenalongwinter .

I wonder why they've not emailed everyone though?!

canina · 07/03/2024 14:47

Do you think that's legit?

Jellycats4life · 07/03/2024 14:58

Liberty customer service via WhatsApp are legit - I’ve used them myself in the past

Just general crap was I suspect. I never get emails from them about anything.

RedSwans · 07/03/2024 16:24

Has anyone actually been charged £25 in their most recent payment? My payment date is today and the pending charge on my card is £20, as usual! I’ve been a member for 2 years. Not complaining, obviously!

I tried to buy the new Lisa Eldridge eye liner today and got the "not valid" message. I went on Live Chat and they confirmed that BD credit is currently offline, and offered to either put the credit on a gift card or I could buy and they will refund me from BD account later.

I had the same thought as they took £20 from me the other day, but I checked the original email and it says the changes will be effective from 16 March 2024. I thought I'd got away with it for a minute!

Frazzgirl · 07/03/2024 20:38

Mmm can't spend by bd credit. Annoying x

Aaah, that makes sense! So we’ll basically pay £5 for the April box. I’m happy to hold out until then before I decide to cancel!

I don’t know if I believe this. I’m sure they mean it, but it kind of feels like another opportunity for something to go wrong 🫣

thank you! I will do this tomorrow (if work doesn’t take over my whole brain as it did today)

Another76543 · 08/03/2024 06:45

Another day, another GWP. What on earth are they doing?!

Liberty Beauty Drop Subscription Box Spoiler Part 6
Conqueeftador · 08/03/2024 06:52

When I added something to my basket to get the gwp added so I could get a good look at it, it also added a sample of their own perfume Liberty maze free to my basket.

D20 · 08/03/2024 06:53

With all of these extra GWPs containing BD items it looks like they over bought or didn’t have the sign ups they thought they would rather than it becoming too large?

TreesinthePark · 08/03/2024 07:13

Thanks @Another76543 , I see this when I add goods to the basket but can't click it for details and not had an email. I recognise those products though! I could just copy and paste my last 3 posts about their GWPs but here we go again....

I already have all of these items from Beauty Drops!

Don't they realise that their target GWP customers are most likely BD members?! Why are they not offering us something new? I'm starting to feel embarrassed on their behalf now!

Cyclingmummy1 · 08/03/2024 07:14

There are quite a lot of products I like in that one.

PomsRun · 08/03/2024 07:14

I think it’s quite a good GWP not tempting enough for me to buy - I’ll wait to see what the next offer is.

TreesinthePark · 08/03/2024 07:15

@D20 I think you're right. There seems to be a neverending supply of BD products to shift. Perhaps the £5 price increase was to help cover the cost of unsold products.

commonground · 08/03/2024 09:19

Clearing the stock room! There must be a lot of dusty boxes in there.
