Ah, my experience was somewhat similar to yours Red, I learned abroad, the owners were South American and it was just sort of natural, you went out into nature and just rode for pleasure once you had the basics down. Back here it was trodding along in a large class in an indoor rink and all sorts of stupid rigid rules and not being allowed to participate without the 'right' gear
I promptly lost interest.
I think the whole being able to wear your jacket as a backpack (sort of) is some sort of military innovation originally.
Breaking (fashion) news, more musical chairs, Matthew Williams is leaving Givenchy which I had been anticipating. The whole putting in a streetwear designer into the most French Aristo house always seemed like a gamble that wouldn't pay off to me. I'm curious to see who they're replacing him with as Claire Wright Keller before him was a bit hit and miss too (as an aside, I noticed her Uniqlo collab is really struggling to sell but the Anya Hindmarch stuff seemed to sell out instantly). I do hope that's not where Sara Burton is moving, I have too much of a lifelong soft spot for Givenchy to see it take that turn 😑
Are you prepping BARF food mm? I always bought it pre-prepared otherwise it would have me actually barfing, why they went with that acronym I'll never know.
Oh, I've sinned again, I bought something, but I think I gave myself a get out of jail free card for unmissable Vinted bargains. An asymmetric Cordera cardigan (I know, I know, me, the cardigan hater) but I'll wear it like a jumper with an interesting button detail. Or, so I've convinced myself, anyhow. I got the light colour, dark colour just shows the asymmetric bit better. Everything I've bought from this brand so far gets lots of wear so hopefully this one will too.
