@faustina rhe skirt has just arrived. They gave me free express delivery which was very nice and I love it. Just pulled it on with the linen top I was wearing. But can think of lots of tops to go with it. Thank you so much for the tip!

@Sooverthemill - that looks beautiful! Which size did you get in the end? I can't tell you how many times I looked at that skirt and thought of buying it - the only reason I didn't was I was under strict instructions from myself to only buy one pair of trousers (which I got in the same colour as your skirt)

@faustina - thanks. I think my broad hips show off the pleats well. Rarely have cause to celebrate them so I'm going to take this one.

Just been down a rabbit hole of shoes and sandals following recommendations up thread. I didn’t realise Seasalt did such nice sandals, and I really like some of the Fitflop ones. I used to buy Fitflop years ago but I got really upset when they discontinued my favourite slippers so stopped buying from them 😁.

@faustina i got the 12 which is a bit surprising given my measurements but fixed waistbands I find very tricky. Maybe I have fat ribs?!?!thank you, I really like it

This is the problem I have with Toast trousers. Too neat on waist, great everywhere else. Great on waist, too big everywhere else!

Watched the last two live videos whilst on hold earlier and laughed at the description that one shirt's design around the collar was inspired by bunting. Never will I ever want that in an item of clothing, and I say that as someone who has a few "fun" stiped pants in her underwear drawer.

Off to look at Sideline as I may be needing to move allegiances for any future purchases! Who knows this brand - do they have good sales?

Hi @Brillenbar47 - if you go onto the Toast website and look on the menu you will find them under Events, then Toast live. They can also be watched on Toast’s FB page, I believe.

Has anyone experienced the following issue with a Toast refund…
I returned three orders last weekend by post. On Tuesday this week, I got refunds for all of them, or so I thought. Only two have hit my account, so I had another look and realised that for one of them, I received an email from PayPal but no refund notification email from Toast, whereas the other two I had emails from both PayPal and Toast. Also, the PayPal email for that one was completely different. And when I went into the Shop app, that order is not showing as returned but the other two are.
I emailed Toast and they responded saying that the refund was in progress and if it hadn’t hit my account in 5 days to call my bank.
I understand that refunds can take up to 5 days to hit my account, but I’m not sure that is the issue. Why would I have not got an email from Toast, why would the PayPal email look completely different, and why would the Shop app not show it had been returned?
I have emailed them back saying all this, but does anyone know what might be going on with this? Thanks.

Hi @ScottishMouse - I haven’t paid by PayPal but I also didn’t get a refund acknowledgment email for a very large return order.

After a lot of being messed about via Chat and being given the ‘refunds can take 5 days to get to you’ spiel, I called and spoke to someone. He said that IT problems were affecting some customers’ refunds, hence no refund email.

If I hadn’t called, I don’t think it would have been sorted out - the Chat people were just reciting the refund party line without any specific info on my situation. As it was, it gif sorted by the end of the day.

I would call and speak to someone if you haven’t had a Toast refund email by tomorrow morning. I am sure sn email will then mysteriously appear 🤞

@ScottishMouse - I also meant to say that I emailed Toast several times and just got fobbed off with the usual five days spiel. Only when I rang did I get my money back and heard about IT issues!

Thanks @Dee1224 , this is very useful. A weird thing about it is that the refund has obviously been triggered in some way through PayPal as I did get an email from them, and I can see is showing as pending on my PayPal account. So it’s not like they haven’t done anything.
I will give them a call in a few days if it hasn’t gone through.

I am sure it’s en route @ScottishMouse - maybe the IT glitches are literally an issue with sending out the refund notification emails on some orders/accounts rather than with the money itself 🤞

I am not particularly happy that rather a lot of money is not yet back in my account - I have had those refund emails but no money 😿

Toast’s refund speed/accuracy seems a bit hit and miss atm.

I can’t guarantee it doesn’t look awful but that’s what I wear in the summer for my unhappy, needy feet. And I’ve seen a lot of Toast&Teva around King’s Cross this week so we aren’t alone.

I find it pretty tts. I didn’t size down and I’m glad.

I’ve been finding it hat my refunds via PayPal have been taking quite long - up to a week after I get the email. Does it tell you in PayPal when it’s expected to clear? I THINK it’s because bank payments from the Toast end seem to be taking a while, so pp knows it’s coming but haven’t received it.

I thought the refunds were going much more smoothly and quicker than normal, in fact it seemed everything for me was smoother, no canceled orders, the site was updated more accurately to represent what was actually in stock, etc. i don't like that they don't acknowledge receipt of the return, but my refund emails came out within 2 days of them having got it. Aside from PayPal, which I'm not using, i don't understand the inconsistency, it just breeds angst.

Anyway, mine were all back two days ago so i paid my cc off today. That feels good to have done after such gluttony!

I've had a look at sideline, there are two ikat pieces i really like but aside from that i wasn't drawn in. I think if i came across toast today for the first time it would be similar, but there's more i like at toast today. Phew. The very last thing i need to do is broaden my shopping choices!

I was in the tiered space check linen dress today with cardigan and socks. Yesterday i was in the orange cord skirt with the pistachio jumper - i loved that combo v v v much.
