No it doesn’ @ilovecherries. it did for the two that went through properly on the same day, but not this one. Odd.

ScottishMouse · 28/07/2023 20:40

Oh that orange skirt and pistachio sweater combo sounds great @dudsville . I love the colour of that sweater. I have it in the orange colour, the pistachio looked terrible on me sadly.

Thanks @ilovecherries. I see that Office and Schuh are selling the Teva sandals so that surely means the young hip folk are wearing them! 🤣

I think they are supposed to be very on trend @ScottishMouse Your cool rating will soar if you buy a pair 😎

According to my DD they are on trend!

Tevas for walking, you can always chuck other sandals in your rucksack/ bag if you need to change for work etc.

I find that the money is refunded exactly 3 working days after the refund email.

Noodle421 · 28/07/2023 21:02

@ScottishMouse I think they will go with anything and double up as house shoes with socks in the winter….thinking aloud here. They weren’t on my radar until you mentioned them. It’s your fault if I have to buy a pair !!

Noodle421 · 28/07/2023 21:05

@ScottishMouse really nice ones on the Teva website

dudsville · 28/07/2023 21:18

I lived in black tevas in the 90s. They're great sandals, practical useful comfortable and easy to wear with everything.

@ScottishMouse i initially bought the orange for fun, doesn't suit my colouring but i loved it. Bought the blue to suit my colouring, and I tried the pistachio back when i bought the other two and thought it didn't suit me, but i think it must have been a dark day or something because it suits me best iof all when I'm in good light. Glad i tried it again.

Hating how damp the house feels at the moment. Do any of you struggle with this? Last autumn we had so much damp in the house but it really bugged me in the little dressing room we have. Had to have all my clothes on rotation in the airing cupboard. I then bought the wardrobe hanging damp catcher things and drawer versions and just filled so many of them, it was disheartening. I tried to buy a small dehumidifier for the space but it's ineffective and the shop wouldn't accept the return as it had been used. Do any of you have this problem and have managed it successfully?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 28/07/2023 21:29

Thanks for this @ScottishMouse I have just realised I have exactly the same for 3 returns I made last weekend, only it’s 2 of mine that I had the PayPal email but not the toast ones. Checked on toast and only one of the orders says refunded, and on PayPal the other 2 say pending.
I’ve never had this happen before but I’m not very happy that I’ve got £150 outstanding in refunds (and I sent 3 more parcels back today).

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 28/07/2023 21:57

@dudsville I’ve got a Meaco dehumidifier, mines a much older version of this as I’ve had it for years.
However we’ve had to address damp in our current house in different ways as it’s a Victorian cottage with a lot of unsympathetic renovations, so I think it depends on the reasons for the damp as to the best way to address it.

Thanks @Theteapotsbrokenspout , I'll check that out, it certainly looks slim enough to tuck in to the room. As for the cause i can only think it's the weather. House has always been very dry, just a little humid briefly in spring and autumn, it's all the original build structure from the 30's, except the windows, they are old double glazing... but I'll have a look at that dehumidifier, thank you.

ScottishMouse · 28/07/2023 22:39

Ah no @Theteapotsbrokenspout how annoying! I wonder what is going on with those refunds. I will let you know if I get a sensible reply to my email.

QueenJaineApproximately · 28/07/2023 22:46

Wow that was a quick thread. Thank you Cherries for new one.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 28/07/2023 23:23

Thanks @ScottishMouse I can also see that both of my pending refunds are from orders made on July 11th.

Can I ask if anyone has the Anni cotton poplin dress from I think 2 years ago? If so what do you think of it please?

I have that dress, two in fact. It’s very easy to wear. About to sell one of them on the facebook page.

Brillenbar47 · 29/07/2023 06:28

@ilovecherries @ToastCosILoveIt thank you. I like how the Anni looks belted from the online photos I can find and it doesn't look too oversized is that right? I have been looking at one on vinted.

Yes, I found it on the big side of TTS, if that makes sense. My usual 12 is a comfortable, easy fit but not huge. I could wear the 10 but it felt a bit restrictive on the bust (32G). If you are very small busted you could probably go down a size. The one thing I did find was that the boat neck was too high for me, it’s the only toast boat neck I ever found that with. I felt it rubbed a lot there, but I do have several surgical scars on my neck which may be why. Anyway - I had the neckline professionally altered and it’s perfect now. I regret not buying that belt at the time, and Toast haven’t done those woven belts again.

Laska2Meryls · 29/07/2023 08:07

I nabbed The Trousers in M this morning and looking forward to trying them out in comparison with the L that I have now .. it just depends on the waist.. but hopefully the M will come up a little shorter..

ilovecherries · 29/07/2023 08:37

Oh perfect Laska. Thank you. Am going to order one

Dee1224 · 29/07/2023 09:10

My last refunds have FINALLY been returned to my cc - it took far too long but it’s over now! I intend to order far less next sale 🤣

I hope @ScottishMouse and @Theteapotsbrokenspout get refunds soon🤞

Noeggsontoast · 29/07/2023 09:11

@ilovecherries thanks for the new thread. These threads are moving too quick for me to keep up.

Quick question please - has anyone tried the slub stripe cotton culottes? They've been calling me for a while but am interested in how they're sized and also whether the colour is as represented on screen - in one image it looks quite acid and then another a bit more muddy.

Thanks in advance!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 29/07/2023 10:30

@ScottishMouse I rang cs this morning and they have said there appears to be an IT issue with some refunds last Tuesday and assured me it will be in my account by next Tuesday, which is their 5 working days deadline.
Hopefully this will be sorted now, otherwise I shall be chasing them up again next week.
