Hi, @neveradullmoment99 here are the pictures. I have tried to show the wonkiness!

Slowly waking up with a coffee here. I just did a Google of the rae jumper but couldn't see it, do you have a pic @stoic?

@Dee1224 i took a medium in the oar check, hs 12/14 here, and it's roomy, still over sized, but this one does have a bit of a waist compared to others. @Theteapotsbrokenspout i know what you mean, those pics are so off putting. It is shorter than some of their dresses but still falls below my knee. @Laska2Meryls , my apologies 😁, and i hope you enjoy this fabulous deal of a dress!

@Dee1224 , definitely do not keep that landscape, it stops being a wonderful thing when there's a fault. But take a pic for toast and ask if there's a replacement!

As for toast website pics, i was looking on the MH site yesterday and all of their clothes are shown so nicely, something toast just doesn't get right.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 02/07/2023 08:53

I’ve ordered the Oar check in a medium, the website was suggesting small but I suspect that would have led to gaping at the bust.

dudsville · 02/07/2023 08:57

Hope you like it @Theteapotsbrokenspout , it is a crisper cotton, which i like.

@dee, those are terrible seams. I'm off to check mine.

PretLea · 02/07/2023 08:58

@dudsville - the oar check, what colours are in the check please? I can see white/chalk, but also another one more yellow? This yellowish colour has sadly put my off the pond and the navy maya. I can do green but not yellow I’m afraid. Thanks!

dudsville · 02/07/2023 09:03

It is yellow, but very thin and muted, @PretLea , hmmm mn won't let me upload the pic.

dudsville · 02/07/2023 09:05

The seams on my landscape are perfect. Trying again with the pic... ah there it is, in normal daylight and bright sun.

Hi @Architektin - I agree - quality of sewing, (not material), seems variable atm. I sent a Pond dress back last week with a wonky waist line - one pocket ended up noticeably lower than the other - totally unwearable🙃once noticed.

Thanks for the feedback @dudsville - I have decided not to keep the dress even if Toast offer a discount as the faults are so noticeable, especially round the neck. They look even worse irl🙃

Dee1224 · 02/07/2023 09:08

Pleased for you @dudsville - it’s a lovely dress. I think that’s probably why mine was a sale return - someone else noticed the faulty seams and returned it.

All sold out, according to the website but will see what Toast says!

Dee1224 · 02/07/2023 09:10

Just remembered that I can’t wear small checks due to them triggering migraines - doh! So oar check is out chez Dee 🙃

Dee1224 · 02/07/2023 09:12

I am particularly annoyed at sending whole order back as I bought a Toast Pass too.

I have tee and socks arriving tomorrow- wish me luck as I am not having much joy this sale 🙃

dudsville · 02/07/2023 09:16

It's been in sales a a few times now so chances are there's one knocking about. Good luck!

The seam discussion is interesting. I didn't know about French seams until watching the live video re toast's collaboration with Black Horse Lane, and i thought then that he must not realise toast don't do those seams generally. I must say though I'm not only here for the quality of the product, i also like the dress patterns/shapes and fabrics.

Snowyowl78 · 02/07/2023 09:21

@faustina the orange bag will probably be in the end of summer sale. I want the orange one but I am afraid it’ll get really dirty being suede…

Stoic123 · 02/07/2023 09:24

@dudsville - hard to get the colour on photo but it's a lovely chocolatey brown (bit darker than photo). My very first purchase of this sale (you know when you go in and order one or two items immediately and then browse a bit more leisurely?).

lordloveadog · 02/07/2023 09:25

The first Franca dress I got was also wonky

Dee1224 · 02/07/2023 09:37

I feel your pain @lordloveadog! Did you manage to reorder?

Laska2Meryls · 02/07/2023 09:40

I have bought the XL in oar check ( recommended new size L ) following a review regarding broad shoulders and bust.. It may swamp me though below the waist as I am a definite inverted triangle ... But its a wildcard purchase because of the price (and as I really do not need any more dresses I won't mind if it goes back)

Laska2Meryls · 02/07/2023 09:43

@Dee1224 that really is shockingly bad for Toast ..

Architektin · 02/07/2023 09:58

@dudsville Yes, I totally agree, the quality of the fabrics and colour mixes really are superb. Hopefully the quality control are just glitches.

I make a few of my own clothes, as an architect I enjoy adapting patterns 😁, but it's increasingly hard to source fabrics as good as Toast's!

What’s this jumper? It looks beautiful…definitely missed it!

dudsville · 02/07/2023 10:17

Thanks @Stoic123, I did admire the colour! I don't like rolled edges to things, for no good reason, otherwise i would have gone for that! It's the rae @PretLea.

I tried to sew clothing @Architektin , I'm very handy with my sewing machine but so bad at numbers i just couldn't crack sewing from scratch, annoying as i come from a family of good dress makers, so I'm envious of those that can!

@Laska2Meryls here's a pic for ref, the one oddity i would say about this dress is that the button down front stops a good foot above the bottom hem. I'd forgotten this so I'm just adding one of those little plastic snaps.

Dee1224 · 02/07/2023 10:28

It looks lovely @dudsville

AFingerofFudge · 02/07/2023 10:36

@dudsville your haul looks heavenly!!!

I have kept:
The drift check dress
The garment dyed linen shirt in pink
The cotton linen twill workwear shirt (my favourite item from the sale)
The Alix Indigo trousers (oh, maybe they're my favourite!!)
The patchwork cotton shirt
The neat wool cardigan in pea green
The indigo denim dress
The mariners in both denim and hemp.

Ooh 🫢that is a lot. Maybe I shouldn't have done that 😆

I had sold some things on Vinted, plus had a work bonus but now that's me done for a while (well, apart from the items I'm still waiting to arrive!!)

PretLea · 02/07/2023 10:39

Thanks @dudsville - I also realised it was the Rae when I read back a bit, sorry! Too many threads on one post is clearly too much for my overtired brain.

Dee1224 · 02/07/2023 10:43

I have only kept the black garment dyed round collared tee. It’s not for lack of trying🤣
